On September 22, CNH Industrial held a media day at its Harbin factory under the theme "Rooted Locally, Driving the Future Intelligently," showcasing its latest advances in precision agriculture, green energy applications, and core technology localization. The event featured the Case IH Patriot 3250 PRO self-propelled sprayer, the New Holland methane-powered tractor, and live demonstrations of multiple equipment models along with the Farm Cloud 2.0 platform.
The Case IH Patriot 3250 PRO self-propelled sprayer meets the demands of large-scale farming for wider operating windows, higher efficiency, and greater spray precision. Equipped with SenseApply intelligent spray technology, it uses a camera system mounted above the cab to sense crop growth, weed distribution, and field variability in real time, controlling individual nozzles for precise application. Combined with automatic boom height control, the equipment significantly reduces over-spraying, missed areas, and drift, improving spray uniformity and coverage quality while dramatically increasing pesticide utilization efficiency.
New Energy: Methane-Powered Tractor
The New Holland methane-powered tractor drew significant attention at the event. As an important exploration in new energy agricultural equipment, the tractor can use renewable methane as fuel while maintaining power performance and operating efficiency comparable to equivalent diesel models. It reduces particulate matter emissions by 80% compared to traditional diesel tractors. When powered by biomethane, it can achieve near-zero carbon emissions, providing livestock farming and circular agriculture operations with a more environmentally friendly and sustainable energy solution without sacrificing field performance.

CNH Industrial also presented the upgraded Farm Cloud 2.0 platform, which strengthens agronomic analysis capabilities. From intelligent fleet management to preventive maintenance, the platform aims to achieve end-to-end lifecycle management of equipment, driving the shift from experience-driven to data-driven agricultural production.
Localizing Core Manufacturing
CNH Industrial is advancing the localization of core transmission technologies for some large-horsepower tractor models at its Harbin factory. The full-power-shift transmission enables gear changes without interrupting power output, improving efficiency and operability for high-horsepower tractors. The continuously variable transmission (CVT) achieves smoother, more precise power matching across different operating scenarios. By localizing these core components, CNH Industrial is further strengthening its manufacturing capabilities and supply chain resilience in the Chinese market.
