Enso tires from the UK are now available worldwide
Enso is a tire technology company that develops and manufactures tires specifically for electric vehicles. It was founded in 2016 by Icelandic entrepreneur Gunnlaugur Erlendsson and is headquartered in London, UK. It is understood that Enso electric vehicle tires are now available nationwide through a new agreement.
Under the new partnership, Enso's electric vehicle tires are designed to meet the needs of high-mileage and high-performance electric vehicles, especially fleets.
The company has partnered with i247 Group, a professional service provider for fleet and tire management solutions, to promote its high-performance electric vehicle tires to more than 4,000 locations in the UK, including Halfords.
Mobile accessories services will also support fleets on the move, ensuring that drivers' downtime is minimized.
The partnership fills a key gap in the electric vehicle dedicated tire market, supporting the growing electric vehicle transition of high-mileage commercial drivers.
Enso's electric vehicle tires are designed specifically to meet the needs of high-mileage and high-performance electric vehicles, including delivery vehicles and appointment vehicles.
Research shows that Enso’s tires can increase EV range by 10%, reduce particulate pollution by 35% and reduce fleet costs per mile, helping fleets lower their total cost of ownership (TCO) compared to other high-end alternatives.
Gunnlaugu Erlendsson, CEO, said: “Choosing the right tire can result in significant cost-per-mile savings. Our fleet-first strategy ensures that high-mileage EV drivers have access to affordable tires that last longer, last longer and reduce pollution, giving drivers more cash and directly addressing the issue of tire pollution.
“Our partnership with i247 Group fills a critical gap in the market for dedicated high-performance EV tires, helping drivers and fleet operators adapt to the growing EV transition.
“Our partnership with Enso gives UK fleet operators and drivers access to breakthrough tire technology that improves efficiency, safety and sustainability, while reducing the total cost of ownership for EV fleet operators,” said Sam Mason, Group Managing Director of i247.
i247’s broad supplier base gives Enso customers access to both passive and active tire replacement services, ensuring we keep vehicles and drivers on the road longer. ”
The partnership builds on Enso’s recent commercial developments, including a three-year strategic partnership with Uber, which will provide thousands of UK and US Uber drivers with specially discounted Enso tyres through a dedicated buyers club, further supporting the ride-hailing company’s transition to electric vehicles.
Enso has also expanded its US presence with the development of a $500 million (£401 million) carbon-neutral tyre factory, due to open in 2027. The US facility will initially produce more than five million tyres per year, further supporting the global transition to electric vehicles.
