Shanghai Zhonggu Logistics plans to invest in the construction of 10 1,800-TEU container vessels.
On April 2, Shanghai Zhonggu Logistics Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Shanghai Zhonggu Logistics") announced that it plans to sign a construction contract with Changhang Group Wuhan Qingshan Shipyard Co., Ltd. for 10 1800TEU container ships. The total contract amount will not exceed 2.7 billion yuan, and the ships are expected to be delivered between 2028 and 2029.
According to the announcement, Shanghai Zhonggu Logistics will implement this shipbuilding investment through its own funds or self-raised funds. The purpose of this investment is to continuously optimize the company's fleet structure, steadily expand the fleet size, actively build a highly economical and competitive container shipping fleet, continuously enhance the company's competitive advantage, improve profitability, and strengthen sustainable development capabilities, aligning with the future strategic planning of Shanghai Zhonggu Logistics.
