The world's first ammonia fuel-dedicated bunkering ship completes fueling operations for an ammonia-powered bulk carrier.

From the afternoon of October 13 to the early morning of October 14, under the service and support of Zhoushan Maritime Bureau, the world’s first ammonia-fueled dedicated bunkering vessel "Shenghang Yongle" successfully completed the operation of bunkering 1,000 tons of ammonia fuel for the 210,000-ton ammonia-powered bulk carrier "Mineral Europa," marking the complete chain integration of production, transportation, storage, bunkering, and application of green ammonia fuel in Zhoushan, Zhejiang.
To ensure the safe and orderly progress of fueling operations, Zhoushan Maritime Safety Administration conducted in-depth research on ammonia fuel bunkering in advance, comprehensively assessed various safety risks, and supported fueling companies in obtaining the world's first ship-to-ship liquid ammonia bunkering license. The entire operation process adopted a three-dimensional patrol mode combining online and onsite inspections, with law enforcement personnel boarding the vessel to oversee the operation and maintain navigation order in the work area and surrounding waters, ensuring the smooth completion of the fueling operation.
