According to customs data, in October 2024, China's imports of natural rubber (including technical classification, latex, cigarette film, primary shape, mixed rubber, and composite rubber) were 515,500 tons, a month-on-month increase of 4.61% and a year-on-year increase of 2.91%. From January to October, the cumulative import volume was 4.458 million tons, a cumulative year-on-year decrease of 16.48%.
Technical classification Natural rubber
In October 2024, the final value of China's imports of natural rubber including technical categories was 118,500 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 2.28% and a year-on-year decrease of 19.70%.
The cumulative total import volume from January to October 2024 was 1.2568 million tons, a decrease of 11.97% year-on-year.
Among them, the main source countries of imports in October were: Thailand, Cote d'Ivoire, Indonesia, and Malaysia, accounting for 35.94%, 29.94%, 15.08%, and 14.80% of the total imports respectively. Thailand ranks first.
natural latex
In October 2024, the import volume of natural latex (40011000) was 32,100 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 0.40% and a year-on-year decrease of 23.01%.
From January to October 2024, the cumulative import of natural latex was 277,100 tons, a cumulative year-on-year decrease of 24.19%
Among them, the main source countries of imports in October were: Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia, accounting for 65.73%, 31.83%, and 1.88% of the total imports respectively.
Natural rubber cigarette film
In October 2024, the import volume of natural rubber cigarette film (40012100) was 16,600 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 15.13% and a year-on-year increase of 13.39%.
The cumulative total import volume from January to October 2024 was 113,300 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 22.75%.
Among them, the main source countries of imports in October were: Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam, accounting for 63.04%, 17.97%, and 12.99% of the total imports respectively. 
Mixture of natural rubber and synthetic rubber
In October 2024, China imported 284,000 tons of natural rubber and synthetic rubber mixtures (40028000), an increase of 5.31% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 17.61%.
The cumulative total import volume from January to October 2024 was 2.5072 million tons, a decrease of 19.28% year-on-year.
Among them, the main source countries of imports in October were: Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia, accounting for 40.04%, 39.86%, and 12.12% of the total imports respectively.
