Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development recently announced a proposal for the development of Vietnam's key cash crops by 2030, which was approved on January 26, 2024. According to the proposal, Vietnam plans to significantly expand its rubber planting area in the next few years and has set clear goals.
Specifically, Vietnam strives to achieve a rubber planting area of 800,000 - 850,000 hectares by 2030. Among them, the southeastern region will occupy the largest share, with an estimated planting area of 480,000 - 500,000 hectares; the Xiyuan region will follow closely, with a planned planting area of 180,000 - 200,000 hectares; other regions will jointly contribute 140,000 - 150,000 hectares of planting area. This layout aims to make full use of agricultural resources and climatic conditions in various parts of Vietnam to promote the balanced development of the rubber industry.
