Recently, at the Conference of the Parties to the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants held in Geneva, all parties participating in the meeting unanimously agreed to ban the use, manufacture, import and export of two plastic additives used in automobile manufacturing and other fields, including ultraviolet light The absorber UV-328 and the flame retardant were cloned.

However, the conference has imposed exemptions for a certain period of time for the application of these two additives in areas such as automotive parts and medical equipment.

Research has reported that these two plastic additives are difficult to decompose in the natural environment and accumulate in organisms. Experimental results after administration to rats showed that these two additives had serious adverse effects on the liver and kidneys of rats. These plastic additives are released into the environment at every stage of production, use and disposal and accumulate in organisms.
