Analysis of China's rubber import and export data in April 2023

According to customs data, in April, China's imports of natural rubber (including technical classification, latex, cigarette film, primary shape, mixed rubber, and composite rubber) were 569,100 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 4.87% and a year-on-year increase of 33.31%. From January to April, the cumulative imports were 2.2944 million tons, a cumulative year-on-year increase of 16.99%.

Technical classification Natural rubber

In April 2023, the final value of China's imports of natural rubber including technical categories was 175,800 tons, an increase of 8.67% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 51.56%.

 The cumulative total import volume from January to April 2023 was 595,700 tons, an increase of 12.95% year-on-year.     

Among them, the main source countries of imports in April were: Thailand, Cote d'Ivoire, Indonesia, and Malaysia, accounting for 33.86%, 33.82%, 16.96%, and 11.12% of the total imports respectively. Thailand ranks first.

natural latex

In April 2023, the import volume of natural latex (40011000) was 37,200 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 36.17% and a year-on-year decrease of 5.10%.

 From January to April 2023, the cumulative import of natural latex was 170,300 tons, a cumulative year-on-year increase of 4.56%.     

Among them, the main source countries of imports in April were: Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia, accounting for 90.22%, 7.52%, and 1.98% of the total imports respectively. Thailand is in the first place.

 Natural rubber cigarette film

In April 2023, the import volume of tobacco film (40012100) was 7,500 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 40.78% and a year-on-year decrease of 62.79%.

 The cumulative total import volume from January to April 2023 was 52,100 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 38.63%.     

Among them, the main source countries of imports in April were: Thailand, Vietnam, and Myanmar, accounting for 71.39%, 17.65%, and 5.87% of the total imports respectively.

Mixture of natural rubber and synthetic rubber

In April 2023, China's imports of natural rubber and synthetic rubber mixtures (40028000) were 335,600 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 3.53% and a year-on-year increase of 57.93%.

 The cumulative total import volume from January to April 2023 was 1.4192 million tons, an increase of 34.18% year-on-year.     

Among them, the main source countries of imports in April were: Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia, accounting for 61.4%, 21.73%, and 10.28% of the total imports respectively.
