In September, the added value of chemical raw materials and products manufacturing increased by 13.4% year-on-year

The National Bureau of Statistics released data on October 18. In September, the added value of industries above designated size actually increased by 4.5% year-on-year and 0.36% month-on-month. Among them, the oil and natural gas extraction industry grew by 3.4%, and the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry grew by 13.4%.
Looking at three major categories, in September, the added value of the mining industry increased by 1.5% year-on-year, the manufacturing industry increased by 5.0%, and the electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply industries increased by 3.5%.
In terms of economic types, in September, the added value of state-controlled enterprises increased by 5.9% year-on-year; joint-stock enterprises increased by 5.6%, foreign-invested enterprises and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan businessmen increased by 0.4%; and private enterprises increased by 3.3%.
In terms of industries, in September, the added value of 26 of the 41 major industries maintained year-on-year growth. Among them, the coal mining and washing industry increased by 1.4%, the oil and natural gas mining industry increased by 3.4%, the agricultural and sideline food processing industry increased by 1.2%, the wine, beverage and refined tea manufacturing industry increased by 2.7%, the textile industry increased by 0.8%, the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry increased by 13.4%, the non-metallic mineral products industry decreased by 1.7%, the ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry increased by 9.9%, and the non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry increased by 8.4%. The general equipment manufacturing industry was flat year-on-year, the special equipment manufacturing industry grew by 1.6%, the automobile manufacturing industry grew by 9.0%, the railway, shipbuilding, aerospace and other transportation equipment manufacturing industry grew by 2.6%, and the electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry grew by 11.5%. Computers, communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing grew by 4.5%, and the electricity, heat production and supply industries grew by 4.6%.
In terms of products, in September, the output of 337 out of 620 products increased year-on-year. Steel was 117.82 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.5%; cement was 188.87 million tons, a decrease of 7.2%; ten non-ferrous metals were 6.42 million tons, an increase of 7.3%; ethylene was 2.64 million tons, an increase of 5.7%; automobiles were 2.833 million, an increase of 3.4%, including 847,000 new energy vehicles, an increase of 12.5%; power generation was 745.6 billion kilowatt hours, an increase of 7.7%; crude oil processing volume was 63.62 million tons, an increase of 12.0%.
In September, the product sales rate of industrial enterprises was 97.4%, down 0.4 percentage points year-on-year; the export delivery value of industrial enterprises was 1.3683 billion yuan, a nominal decrease of 3.6% year-on-year.
