Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on October 18 showed that the capacity utilization rate of chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry in the third quarter was 74.6%, a year-on-year decrease of 0.7%.
Data showed that the national industrial capacity utilization rate in the third quarter was 75.6%, which was the same as the same period last year and an increase of 1.1 percentage points from the second quarter.
Looking at the three categories, the mining industry's capacity utilization rate in the third quarter decreased by 1.5% year-on-year; the manufacturing industry decreased by 0.1%; and the electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply industries increased by 1.5%.
In terms of major industries, among the 15 industries, the capacity utilization rate of 10 industries decreased compared with the same period last year. Among them, the capacity utilization rate of coal mining and washing industry was 73.8%, a year-on-year decrease of 1.2%; the capacity utilization rate of oil and natural gas mining industry was 91.2%, a year-on-year decrease of 0.6%; the capacity utilization rate of chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing was 74.6%, a year-on-year decrease of 0.7%; the chemical fiber manufacturing industry was 85.1%, a year-on-year increase of 3.1%.
