Recently, Cabot was invited to participate in the international conference "Sustainability in Tires" organized by Smithers.

Xu Zhoubo, application research and development manager and principal researcher of Cabot Asia Pacific Technology Center, delivered a speech entitled "Cabot's Development Path to Sustainably Reinforced Carbon Materials" at the conference. In his speech, Xu Zhoubo introduced Cabot's goals and realization paths in terms of sustainable development, especially the recently launched Evolve® sustainable development solution. He also provided detailed answers to product and application questions in Cabot's Sustainable Development Solutions. In addition, he also actively participated in a group discussion on the theme of "Technical cooperation upstream and downstream of the industrial chain to promote green and sustainable development of the tire industry."

In order to focus on the development of breakthrough sustainable products and process technologies, Cabot has launched the EVOLVE® Sustainable Solutions Technology Platform. The reinforced carbon materials developed by this technology platform cover three major sustainable development paths: recyclable, renewable and emission reduction. Among them, the recyclable solution aims to produce reinforced carbon materials through innovative carbon black production processes and utilizing recycled materials in the tire recycling economy, such as thermally cracked oil or recycled carbon materials. Cabot has launched two recyclable EVOLVE® sustainable product solutions, VULCAN® 7H-C recyclable reinforced carbon material and STERLING® SO-RC110 recyclable reinforced carbon material.

The EVOLVE® Sustainable Solutions Platform is not only an important part of Cabot's R & D spending, it is also an important step towards the company's goal of "creating materials for a more perfect day and achieving a sustainable future." This move will help push the tire industry towards a greener and more sustainable development direction.
