The high-performance carbon black carbon black results jointly completed by Qingdao Black Cat and Beihua passed expert appraisal

The "Key Technology Development of High-performance Carbon Black/Natural Rubber Nanocomposite Wet Masterglue" project completed by Qingdao Black Cat New Materials Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Beijing University of Chemical Technology (referred to as Beihua) has been identified by experts. The technology is considered to have independent intellectual property rights and are at the international leading level. The Expert Appraisal Committee recommends vigorously promoting and applying them.

The appraisal meeting of this important scientific and technological achievement was held at Qingdao Black Cat Company on October 30 and was hosted by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation. At the inspection site, the appraisal expert team listened to the report of the project team, reviewed relevant materials, and unanimously passed the appraisal after in-depth questioning and discussion.

The appraisal committee consists of Academician Jian Xigao of Dalian University of Technology, Academician Wang Yuzhong of Sichuan University, Zhu Jun, former president of China Tire Recycling Association, Li Gaoping, president of Beijing Rubber Industry Research and Design Institute Co., Ltd., Professor Yang Huai of Peking University, Professor Liu Guangye of Qingdao University of Science and Technology, Liang Aimin, chief expert of Sinopec Beijing Chemical Research Institute Group Co., Ltd., and Fu Zhixia, vice president of the Science and Technology Consulting and Development Research Institute, It is composed of nine well-known experts including Wang Zujian, deputy general manager of Shandong Linglong Tire Co., Ltd. Also attending the meeting were Academician Zhang Liqun, President of South China University of Technology, Wu Xiaohui, Associate Professor of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, relevant leaders of Qinggang Black Cat Company and some rubber products and tire user representatives.

The core goal of this technology is to improve the dispersion of nano-scale carbon black in rubber and regulate interface effects through emulsion compounding technology. Since 1995, the Advanced Elastomeric Materials Research Center of Beijing University of Chemical Technology has been conducting research on liquid-phase nanocomposite technology and has achieved a series of results in basic research and material design and development. Since 2018, a team composed of Qingdao Black Cat Company and Professors Wu Xiaohui and Zhang Liqun of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, with the support of Shandong Linglong Tire Co., Ltd., has successfully developed a unique nano-carbon black-natural latex system. Co-flocculation-dehydration-drying technology, and interface regulation-network structure optimization-Mooney viscosity control were carried out during the process, and relevant equipment and processes were developed. This allows highly dispersed carbon black/natural rubber nanocomposite wet master glue to be prepared efficiently, with low pollution and low loss, and a large-scale continuous production demonstration line has been established. In addition, application formulas and processes have been designed and developed together with downstream users. These products have the advantages of low mixing energy consumption, high strength, low loss factor and low heat generation, and have been used in tires, mineral machinery products, vibration reduction and vibration isolation products, etc. It has been widely used in the field and has broad market prospects. This technology has obtained a total of 8 authorized patents and 5 public invention patents.
