On October 30, the signing ceremony for the Alxa Ulanbu and 3.5 million-kilowatt three-dimensional wind, solar and hydrogen sand control and production of aviation fuel was held in the High-tech Zone. Liu Xiande, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the High-tech Zone and Demonstration Zone, Jiang Qingji, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the High-tech Zone, Director of the Management Committee, and Head of the Management Committee of the Demonstration Zone, and Yin Chengguo, President of Yili Resources Group, attended the signing ceremony.
  Alxa Ulanbu and the 3.5-million-kilowatt three-dimensional wind, wind and hydrogen sand control integrated demonstration project to prepare aviation fuel has a total investment of 25.433 billion yuan to build a zero-carbon industrial base for the integrated development of desertification control and new energy, and implement the Yili Alxa Base 1 million acres of locked-edge forest belt +3.5GW three-dimensional ecological wind, wind and hydrogen sand control +300,000 tons of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) project. The project construction period is from March 2024 to July 2025. After the project is completed, the annual revenue will be increased by 5.8 billion yuan.
  This project builds a centralized wind power photovoltaic 3.5 million kilowatts, 525MW/1050MWh electrochemical energy storage, 390,000 standard square meters per hour electrolyzed water hydrogen production device, 780,000 standard meters per hour hydrogen storage facilities, 300,000 tons of aviation fuel, and integrated smart regulation system and supporting infrastructure. In accordance with the innovative low-carbon development model of "greening + green electricity + green hydrogen + green aviation fuel", the planned 3.5GW wind and solar power station will have an average annual power generation capacity of 6.45 billion kWh. Among them: 4.196 billion kWh is used for hydrogen production, with an annual output of 75,000 tons of hydrogen, and 962 million kWh produces 800,000 tons of green steam. Green hydrogen was coupled with 700,000 tons (dry basis) of syngas vaporized by willow to produce green aviation fuel, and the world's first largest SAF green aviation fuel production base was built with an annual output of 300,000 tons.
