Analysis of China's rubber import and export data in December 2023

According to customs data, in December 2023, China's imports of natural rubber (including technical classification, latex, cigarette film, primary shape, mixed rubber, and composite rubber) were 592,400 tons, an increase of 6.24% month-on-month. From January to December, the cumulative imports were 6.4874 million tons, a cumulative year-on-year increase of 7.03%.

Technical classification Natural rubber

In December 2023, the final value of China's imports of natural rubber including technical categories was 154,300 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 12.55% and a year-on-year increase of 20.51%.

 The cumulative total import volume from January to December 2023 was 1.7585 million tons, an increase of 29.43% year-on-year.     

Among them, the main source countries of imports in December were: Thailand, Cote d'Ivoire, Malaysia, and Indonesia, accounting for 54.42%, 21.48%, 12.18%, and 9.16% of the total imports respectively. Thailand ranks first.

natural latex

In December 2023, the import volume of natural latex (40011000) was 48,600 tons, an increase of 11.01% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 18.97%.

 From January to December 2023, the cumulative import of natural latex was 457,900 tons, a cumulative year-on-year decrease of 30.42%. 

Among them, the main source countries of imports in December were: Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia, accounting for 58.52%, 40.41%, and 1.04% of the total imports respectively. Vietnam overtook Thailand in the first place.

 Natural rubber cigarette film

In December 2023, the import volume of tobacco film (40012100) was 1.22 tons, an increase of 9.61% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 55.30%.

 The cumulative total import volume from January to December 2023 was 169,900 tons, a year-on-year increase of 11.87%.     

Among them, the main source countries of imports in December were: Thailand, Myanmar, and Vietnam, accounting for 42.75%, 32.53%, and 21.52% of the total imports respectively.

Mixture of natural rubber and synthetic rubber

In December 2023, China's imports of natural rubber and synthetic rubber mixtures (40028000) were 326,800 tons, an increase of 20.81% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 14.92%.

 The cumulative total import volume from January to December 2023 was 3.7032 million tons, an increase of 10.17% year-on-year.     

Among them, the main source countries of imports in December were: Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia, accounting for 45.79%, 33.88%, and 14.71% of the total imports respectively.
