According to the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, the global manufacturing PMI in January 2024 was 49.3%, an increase of 1.3 percentage points from the previous month. It got rid of the operating trend of below 49% for nine consecutive months and hit a new high since March 2023. In terms of regions, the Asian manufacturing PMI rose to more than 50% again; although the manufacturing PMI in Europe and the Americas was still below 50%, they all increased to varying degrees from the previous month; and the African manufacturing PMI fell slightly from the previous month.
