[Industry News]: Qingdao University of Science and Technology and Yongxin Chemical cooperate to promote the research and development of high-end rubber additive technology

April 3, 2024, 8:55 AM Recently, Qingdao University of Science and Technology and Henan Yongxin Chemical Co., Ltd. have reached industry-university-research cooperation to jointly build the "Rubber Additives Sub-Center of the National Engineering Research Center for Advanced Tire Equipment and Key Materials" and the "Production and Research Achievements Transformation Base of Rubber Additives of Qingdao University of Science and Technology" and the "Qingdao University of Science and Technology Postgraduate Joint Training Base". This cooperation marks a substantial step forward in the in-depth cooperation between the two sides in the field of rubber additives.
One of the core contents of this cooperation is to promote the "Key Technologies and Equipment for Circular Economy" project in the National Key Research and Development Plan of the Ministry of Science and Technology. The project conducted in-depth research on the recycling and high-value utilization of waste hybrid polymers, especially the chemical depolymerization process of waste polyester blended fabrics. By developing high-efficiency catalysts and product separation and upgrading technologies, the project aims to achieve mild hydrolysis of polyester in polyester/cotton blended fabrics, and then prepare terephthalic acid and its high-value rubber and plastic additive materials.
