Analysis of China's rubber import and export data in April 2024

According to customs data, in April 2024, China's imports of natural rubber (including technical classification, latex, cigarette film, primary shape, mixed rubber, and composite rubber) were 361,800 tons, a decrease of 25.25% month-on-month. The cumulative imports from January to April were 1.7618 million tons, a cumulative year-on-year decrease of 23.21%.

Technical classification Natural rubber

In April 2024, the final value of China's imports of natural rubber including technical categories was 140,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 9.56% and a year-on-year decrease of 20.49%.

 The cumulative total import volume from January to April 2024 was 520,000 tons, a decrease of 12.71% year-on-year.     

Among them, the main source countries of imports in April were: Thailand, Malaysia, Cote d'Ivoire, and Indonesia, accounting for 55.06%, 17.95%, 17.93%, and 5.4% of the total imports respectively. Thailand ranks first.

natural latex

In April 2024, the import volume of natural latex (40011000) was 19,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 52.35% and a year-on-year decrease of 48.46%.

 From January to April 2024, the cumulative import of natural latex was 131,500 tons, a cumulative year-on-year decrease of 22.77%. 

Among them, the main source countries of imports in April were: Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia, accounting for 74.31%, 22.06%, and 3.53% of the total imports respectively.

 Natural rubber cigarette film

In April 2024, the import volume of natural rubber cigarette film (40012100) was 8,300 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 1.1% and a year-on-year increase of 10.32%.

 From January to April 2024, the cumulative total import volume was 30,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 43.46%.     

Its main source countries of imports in April were: Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Indonesia, accounting for 46.8%, 32.42%, 16.45%, and 2.9% of the total imports respectively.

Mixture of natural rubber and synthetic rubber

In April 2024, China's imports of natural rubber and synthetic rubber mixtures (40028000) were 194,600 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 30.73% and a year-on-year decrease of 42.03%.

 The cumulative total import volume from January to April 2024 was 1.063 million tons, a decrease of 25.08% year-on-year.     

Among them, the main source countries of imports in April were: Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia, accounting for 44.59%, 21.23%, and 15.39% of the total imports respectively.
