On May 28, Da 'an City, Jilin Province, formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Yunda Energy Technology Group Co., Ltd. and Zhaoyun (Liaoning) New Energy Co., Ltd.(a joint venture established by China Merchants Taipingwan Development and Investment Co., Ltd. and Yunda Energy).

The project has a total investment of about 23.5 billion yuan and is located in the Clean Energy and Chemical Industrial Park in Western Jilin (Da 'an). It is divided into two major sections: first, the investment is about 11.5 billion yuan to build about 800,000 tons of biomass straw gasification and synthesis of green methanol production lines and about 200,000 tons of water electrolysis hydrogen production and catalytic synthesis of green methanol production lines; second, the investment is about 12 billion yuan to build about 2 million kilowatts of scenery and energy storage projects.

It is reported that alcohol production, wind, solar and energy storage projects are planned and constructed simultaneously. They are planned to start in the second half of 2024 and be completed and put into operation before the end of 2026. After the project is completed and put into operation, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of more than 6.5 billion yuan, tax revenue of 45.5 million yuan, and provide employment for 1200 people.

The first phase of the integrated demonstration project of Daan wind and solar green hydrogen synthesis ammonia from Jilin Electric Power Corporation, which is currently under construction, focuses on green ammonia production, while the second phase of the project focuses on green methanol production.

The second phase of the project has an annual green hydrogen production capacity of 25,000 tons and an annual output of 200,000 tons of methanol. There are two alkali hydrogen production plants and substation with a total of 4800 square meters, and one PEM hydrogen production plant and substation with a total of 2400 square meters. 3 sets of alkali hydrogen production equipment and 2 sets of PEM hydrogen production equipment are installed, with a hydrogen production capacity of 5400 Nm3/h; The biomass gasification device (including the factory building) is 4500 square meters, the purification device (including the factory building) is 8000 square meters, the methanol synthesis device (including the factory building and substation) is 13600 square meters, the biomass raw material warehouse is 2600 square meters, and the preparation of renewable carbon-based raw materials (including the factory building) is 6000 square meters, etc.
