On June 5, the 10 kV system of the 200,000-ton/year BDO (1,4-butanediol) Phase II project of Xinjiang Xinye Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd. successfully received power, marking the successful completion of another key node of the project and creating conditions for the next stand-alone test run.

    The project is one of Xinjiang's key projects with a total investment of 1.8 billion yuan. Construction will start in February 2023. The project covers many professional fields such as civil engineering, piping, and electrical engineering of 38 plant projects including acetylene plant, formaldehyde plant, and BDO plant. Up to now, the project design content and the construction of the main civil structure have been completed. 98% of equipment installation has been completed, 95% of process piping installation has been completed, and 90% of electrical and instrument installation has been completed. It has fully entered the stand-alone commissioning stage.

    The construction site of the 200,000-ton/year 1,4-butanediol fine chemical and supporting engineering project of Xinjiang Xinye Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd. is located in the expansion area of the East Industrial Park of Wujiaqu Industrial Zone. The construction scale of the project is: an annual output of 500,000 tons of methanol, 200,000 tons of 1,4-butanediol, 100,000 tons of mixed aromatic hydrocarbons from methanol, and 192,000 tons of liquefied natural gas.

    Among them: the first phase of the 60,000-ton BDO project was completed and put into operation in 2019. The device is running smoothly and reaches production capacity and efficiency. The second phase of the 140,000-ton BDO project has a total investment of 2 billion yuan and a construction period of 18 months. It is expected to be completed and put into operation in August 2024.

    It is reported that after the new industry energy chemical 200,000 tons/year BDO project reaches full production capacity, it can achieve an annual output value of 2.2 billion yuan, a net profit of 700 million yuan, and solve more than 100 jobs.
