[Thailand will issue 10,000 baht to eligible citizens to boost growth] Financial News Agency reported on July 24 that Thailand plans to distribute cash to most adult citizens. The plan has been delayed for a long time and has finally announced a detailed plan. This is the core measure of the government to revitalize growth. Finance Minister Pichhai told a press conference in Bangkok on Wednesday that the cash stimulus would help reverse the economic downturn and solve the problem of high household debt. The government has said that all Thais aged 16 and over with an income below a certain threshold can register through a "digital wallet" app between August 1 and September 15 and receive 10,000 baht (US$277) in the fourth quarter. However, there are strict restrictions on the use of this money. Under the program, which aims to help individuals and small businesses, consumers can shop at more than 2 million retail stores, convenience stores and mom-and-pop stores, with store registration starting October 1. But authorities have said they cannot buy alcohol, alcohol, electronic equipment, gold and jewelry, natural gas, fuel and other commodities.
