The price of eggs fell first and then stabilized. Due to the relatively low terminal demand after the Mid-Autumn Festival, the slow flow of goods in the market, the stable supply of eggs and a slight increase in surplus in the market, the price of eggs fell weakly last weekend and this week. After that, boosted by the National Day holiday, Shang Chao and e-commerce platform procurement increased, the market slightly improved, egg prices stopped falling and stabilized, and rose slightly in a few areas. The average weekly price of eggs in the main producing areas was 4.75 yuan per jin, down 5.75% from the previous month. Last weekend and this week, the overall market in the initial sales area is not fast, coupled with the lower price of eggs in the production area, the price in the sales area has fallen accordingly. However, with the National Day holiday approaching, market demand improved slightly, especially in the southern market generally accelerated, egg prices stopped falling and stabilized after a slight increase. The average weekly price in the main selling areas was 4.98 yuan per jin, down 4.60% from the previous month.

The average price of old hens rose month-on-month. The average price of old hens in major producing areas across the country rose month-on-month this week, with an average weekly price of 6.47 yuan per jin, up 1.41 percent from last week. Due to the concentrated elimination of right-age laying hens by breeding units before the Mid-Autumn Festival, the number of laying hens to be cleaned is limited, coupled with the approaching National Day, slaughterhouses and market demand have improved, under the influence of strong supply and weak demand, the price of old hens has increased again. Compared with the average price last week, the weekly average price of old hens in southwest China increased the most, with an increase of 4.27%.

The number of old hens decreased. This week, Zhuochuang Information monitored the number of old hens from 22 markets in 13 key producing areas across the country. The total number of hens was 597100, a decrease of 2.74% from the previous month and an increase of 6.76% over the same period last year. At present, although the price of eggs has fallen, but the profit is still relatively rich, the enthusiasm of breeding units to eliminate old chickens is low, and the increase of old chickens of right age is small, so the number of old hens is generally reduced.

The elimination date has been postponed. Zhuochuang Information monitors the age of old hens in 20 markets in 14 key producing areas across the country. the average age of old hens is 532 days this week, one day later than last week. Among them, the highest average age is 540 days and the lowest is 510 days. Most aquaculture units still have wait-and-see plans.

The number of shipments from the main producing areas across the country decreased compared with the previous month. This week, the average daily shipment of the main producing areas on behalf of the market was 603.00 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 0.07% and a year-on-year increase of 3.79%. At the end of last weekend and the beginning of this week, each link was mainly to digest the Mid-Autumn Festival inventory, the egg circulation speed slowed down, and the delivery speed in the production area was not fast. Only after the egg price hit bottom periodically, the local market was boosted by the National Day stock, and the goods moved slightly back up, but the overall trading activity was still mediocre, so the shipment volume in the production area dropped slightly this week. With the National Day approaching, there is still demand in some markets or domestic sales, and some demand has weakened. It is expected that the main producing areas will represent a steady decline in market shipments next week.

This week, the number of inventory days in production and circulation increased slightly at first and then decreased. After the early Mid-Autumn Festival, the terminal demand weakened, the egg supply remained stable, and the market continued to have a backlog of surplus goods. As the follow-up approaches the National Day, all links actively prepare goods to meet the needs of the festival, the speed of market delivery is improved, and the inventory of production and circulation links is reduced. Generally speaking, the National Day holiday time is long, the use of boosting demand is relatively limited, and operators are more bearish on the future, cautious purchasing, short-term inventory or maintain a relatively low level. The inventory days of production and circulation on Thursday were 0.94 days and 0.95 days respectively, a decrease of 1.05% compared with last Thursday's production link and 1.04% decrease in circulation link.

Egg sales in the sales area increased month-on-month. This week, the total sales of eggs in the five cities across the country on behalf of the market were 8595.50 tons, an increase of 1.82% over the previous month and 6.11% over the same period last year. After the Mid-Autumn Festival, egg prices as a whole fell back to a relatively low level, terminal digestion improved one after another, and some areas were driven by National Day stock, the goods went smoothly, and the enthusiasm of picking up goods downstream was OK. The number of cars arriving in the sales area increased this week, and egg sales increased compared with last week. In the short term, on the eve of the National Day, the volume of goods taken downstream may gradually decrease, actively avoiding future risks, and it is expected that sales in the sales area may be reduced next week.

Next week's market outlook: supply: most of the recent egg supply is normal, operators are mainly active shipments, local supply is slightly more than demand.

Demand: the terminal generally has a source of goods for sale, the purchase intention is not high, the purchase volume of canteens in the National Day holiday is reduced, the delivery speed is generally general, and the demand for catering tourism may increase slightly in the later period.

National egg prices may fall slightly next week before stabilizing. The supply of eggs remains stable, the terminal purchasing enthusiasm is generally the same, and the digestion of fresh eggs is flat. Zhuochuang Information expects that national egg prices will stabilize or weakly stabilize after a slight decline next week, and high-price transactions will gradually decrease in most areas.

The price of old hens may go down slightly next week. Egg prices are expected to fall in the near future, or have a negative impact on the price of old hens, but as the supply of old hens is still not much, coupled with the relatively high profits of breeding, the enthusiasm of breeding units to clean out chickens is not high, or limit the price of old hens. Zhuochuang Information expects that the price of old hens across the country will fall slightly next week.

Today, most of the national egg market prices are partially stable, the four major sales areas continue to fall in Beijing, Shanghai continues to fall, Fujian and Guangdong markets are also estimated to be dominated by weak adjustment. Orders for goods decreased, stock accumulation increased, and pressure on each egg point increased.
