1. The automobile exhaust system generally consists of an exhaust manifold, exhaust pipe, catalytic converter, exhaust temperature sensor, muffler, and exhaust tailpipe.
2. Working principle: After the exhaust gas in the engine cylinder is discharged through the exhaust valve, it is collected into the exhaust manifold of each cylinder and then purified by a three-way catalytic converter and silenced by a muffler before being discharged from the outside of the vehicle through the exhaust tailpipe.
3. Single exhaust system: During the exhaust stroke of an inline engine, the exhaust gas in the cylinder passes through the exhaust valve and exhaust manifold, then enters the exhaust pipe, catalytic converter, and muffler through the exhaust manifold, and finally is discharged into the atmosphere through the exhaust pipe.
4. Dual exhaust system: The V-shaped engine adopts two single exhaust systems, with each exhaust manifold connected to an exhaust pipe, catalytic converter, muffler, and exhaust tailpipe.
