Exide launches new automotive battery range

Kolkata: Exide Industries Ltd launched its new automotive battery ‘Epiq’ in the Indian market.

The new battery range comes with “best-in-class” six-year warranty in the Indian market, the company said in a statement. The new batteries will be manufactured at Exide’s Upper Utilities plant across India and will be sold through 1,500 family premium Exide Care stores.

In a press release, the company said, “Epic it is being positioned and targeted at the top price range, but did not provide details on pricing,” adding, “Epic will be a major sub-brand of Exceeed.”

The lead-acid battery manufacturer has also launched various products for different segments of the automotive battery aftermarket.

Recognizing the demand for economical high performance batteries, Exide has also introduced Exide Gold, offering 18 one-month warranties on its full line of four-wheelers. We introduced the competitively priced Exide Cabby for the commercial cab and priced cab markets.
