Customer happier with original tyres, JK Tyre at top: JD Power
According to JD, New Delhi: In a study by Power in Asia Pacific, Indian customers have reported significantly fewer problems with products sold in the country over the past five years as the quality of original tires has improved.
According to the JD Power Asia Pacific India OEM 2015 Tire Customer Satisfaction Index Annual Report released today, JK Tires in the country ranked highest in overall customer satisfaction, followed by MRF in Chennai.
The report shows that the overall customer issue rate has dropped significantly from 18% in 2010 to 9% in 2015. He added that this bodes well for the tire industry, considering that demand in the tire replacement market is driven by customer perceptions of original equipment tires. The survey results show that JK Tire ranked first in overall customer satisfaction with a score of 881 out of 1,000. MRF ranked second with 876 points, followed by Bridgestone (875 points). The study shows that tire brand continues to be the most influential factor (51%) for consumers when choosing new tires, and they are increasingly concerned about tire design and shape.
