Apollo Tyres launches India’s largest loader tyre
In 2014, Apollo Tyres launched the fullest range of loader tires in India in its history The 12th International Mining Machinery Exhibition (IMME) of the year was held in Kolkata case. The company also launched its second product at the same event, the ALT 188 TX tire with the industry’s first traction tread design.
The AWL 822 is made from 1,300 kg of rubber, 700,2000 kg of carbon black and silicon dioxide By kg of nylon fabric. Other rubber additives 300 kg. Size 45/65-45 L5 tires are equipped with gravel injectors for protection and trouble-free maintenance. The special tread design has side protection for increased resistance to the shoulder and sidewalls.
The company also introduced its second ALT product, the 188 TX tire, at the same event. The tire features a traction tread design with a beveled cord fabric construction section for use in mud and slush conditions.
The use of customized tread rubber provides excellent performance in a variety of mining conditions, with wider grooves at the shoulder to reduce the risk of damage in extreme conditions. Both tires are manufactured and vulcanized at Apollo’s plant in Limuda, Gujarat. It is one of the largest curing plants in South East Asia.
