Centre extends anti-dumping duty on bus and truck tyres from China by three months
The agency’s latest order is a requirement issued in response to the latest order of the Automotive Tire Manufacturers Association of China (ATMA) to conduct a sunset review investigation of imported products.
It imposed anti-dumping duties on imported passenger car and truck tires originating from China for three months. The anti-dumping duty imposed since September 2017 is valid for five years and will continue till December 2022, according to the official gazette.
The anti-dumping duty imposed on these Chinese products under the Consumer Affairs and Customs Commission (CBEC) ranges from $245.35 to $452.33 per ton.
Applies to buses, trucks and typical rim diameter codes over 16 New or unused pneumatic radial tires (including tubeless tires) with or without inner tubes and/or rubber flaps for inch trucks.
