Bharat Forge to invest Rs Rs 1,200 crore for component hub in Nellore

VISAKHAPATNAM: Leading forging giant Bharatt Forge today announced plans to invest around ₹12,000 crore to set up an integrated automotive component center at Nellore, Andhra Pradesh.

“We are planning to invest about Rs. 120 crores to set up a large integrated auto component manufacturing center in Nellore district, which will create a lot of employment opportunities, directly employing more than 3,000 people and I hope indirectly employing about the same number of people.” ” said Kalyani, Chairman, Bharat Forge Baba here.

He was speaking at the inaugural session of the India Industrial Infrastructure Partnership Summit.

Announcing the program, Kalyani said he has signed another MoU with the state government to set up multimodal transport facilities.

He said, “Secondly, we are proposing to set up a multi-modal manufacturing facility at Anantapur to produce industrial components, defense and aerospace components, including supply chain.”

For both locations, he said, the company has already acquired land and “we expect that in the next few weeks, we will actually take physical possession of the land and start work.”
