KOS started producing polyethylene in 1965 2000. Currently it is one of the largest manufacturers of polyethylene among the major Russian petrochemical companies.

KOS is in the process of dismantling some of its existing manufacturing facilities and installing a state-of-the-art facility to increase the production capacity of its Kazan manufacturing site and further diversify its product portfolio. For this facility, KOS is utilizing the Sumitomo Chemical high pressure manufacturing process. The new facility will have an annual capacity of 100 KTA.

HPPE, Sumitomo Chemical This technology is a proprietary autoclave polyethylene production process that allows conversion between LDPE and EVA facilities in a single production run. In the case of EVA, a variety of product grades can be accommodated by adjusting the amount of vinyl acetate added. In addition, the technology offers high single-reaction efficiency, energy savings, and excellent operational stability. We carefully considered these matters and signed the license agreement.

Resident Chemical continues to refine its business portfolio licensing activities in petrochemicals and plastics and to address the challenges facing the petrochemical industry through the global expansion of its technologies.
