China Domestic PE Market Rose and Fell in November

According to Todudu data monitoring, the domestic LLDPE (7042) price was RMB 8,335/mt on Nov. 1, and the average price was RMB 8,408/mt on Nov. 30th. The growth rate for the same period was 0.87%, an increase of 0.48 percentage points year-on-year. % From October 1st.

According to the monitoring of TuoDu data, the average price of LDPE (2426H) ex-factory was RMB 9,600 per ton on November 1, and RMB 9,333 per ton on November 30, a decrease of 2.78% year-on-year, and a decrease of 6.48% year-on-year.

According to the monitoring of TuoDu data, the average ex-works price of HDPE(5000S) was RMB 8,366/mt on November 1, and RMB 8,400/mt on November 30, up 0.4% year-on-year, and down 0.2 percentage points compared with that of October 1, according to the monitoring of TuoDu data.

In November, the domestic PE market spot prices were mixed, LLDPE rose slightly. The price range fluctuated narrowly in the first half of the month, LDPE prices continued to fall throughout the month, and HDPE prices were strong. Data show that domestic PE production in November fell 3.69% year-on-year, and supply tension in some areas in the middle of the month, forming a clear support for the PE market. The "Double 11" e-commerce consumer festival revitalized the market in the short term, but after the e-commerce festival, the utilization rate of packaging film declined, and downstream orders were sluggish. This month, companies are willing to go to the warehouse mainly to get more profits from shipments.

Currently, in terms of commodities, international crude oil futures rose on November 29, providing some support for costs, but the support is limited. On the demand side, the agricultural movie season is gradually ending, the willingness of petrochemical companies to support prices has weakened, and domestic public events have led to logistics disruptions. The future of the market is pessimistic. China's private equity spot market is expected to weaken in the near term.
