When the speed is increased quickly, especially in the movement mode, the process is smooth and silky, the sound of the engine is sweet, and the steering wheel is pointed to accurately, reflecting the essence of the 5 series incisively and vividly. The drag resonance, interior noise and headrest jitter do exist at low speed, which can be accepted without careful attention, which has a certain impact on the driving experience.
When I drive on a city street with a little more cars, I feel “uncomfortable”. This is not a criticism of the 5-Series, but has something to do with my driving habits and the difference between my previous car and the taxiing state of the 5-Series. H7 and his wife’s a-class drive for 5 years, basically according to the road conditions ahead, using taxiing deceleration instead of braking deceleration. After changing the 5 series, I found that the taxiing distance of the 5 series is too long! As a result, when I use my previous experience to taxi and slow down, I always feel like I have to rear-end the car in front of me, plus the 5-series brakes are sensitive, and there is no vacancy compared with the previous car. I have to hit the brakes frequently. Of course, this is my own problem. I still need time to get used to it. Compared with the city, I very much like to drive 5 series on the highway, speed up smoothly, the car body is stable, the speed is 120, the engine speed is less than 1500, comfortable and safe to reach the destination.
Fuel consumption is excellent on the highway. For a trip of more than 100 kilometers, the apparent mileage is 440 kilometers before departure and 446 kilometers when the underground highway reaches the destination. Although fuel consumption is not as good as highway in congested cities, gentle driving can be kept at about 9L per hundred kilometers, but it is a different situation if you drive with your temper.
Because I have been in the driver’s seat so far, I have not been able to realize the feeling of riding in the back row, so it is difficult to express my opinion. It is not easy to evaluate the E300L and A6L without trial driving. It can only be said that the three models are all good cars with their own characteristics. It is not important whether the 5 Series is the most balanced car among the 3 cars. The important thing is to have what you like. I am very satisfied with the 5 Series so far.
