The reason for changing cars is very simple. Due to the need of work, my family plans to buy a new car, but because they are at a loss about brands and models, there are only three requirements: SUV, large space and low fuel consumption, and the driver is a novice. Taken together, my new X1 has become their ideal choice. Since it comes to changing cars, we have to review the process of picking up and using the new X1. As an entry-level SUV of BMW, which was newly launched that year, the choice of the new X1 is the result of the first time buying a car, the influence of the BMW brand, the dramatic change in the appearance of the new X1 and spatial considerations, rather than based on the concern and love of the BMW brand and model. The tire noise of running at high speed is more obvious, the chassis is hard, the seat is hard, and the butt hurts after driving for a long time. In particular, it is also a “three-cylinder 1.5T precursor BMW” that is extremely despised by the old BMW driver or some “keyplate chivalry” (people say it is awesome. Reluctantly classified as a weakness) There are still many advantages, such as high appearance, large space, “easy to open and easy to use”, more fuel-efficient, 1.5T power, and more than enough for work and short trips, so it is a very suitable SUV for household use. Recently, I saw an account called “car dismantling” on Douyin. Personal feeling, in fact, for most men, cars are like lovers, especially when they buy a car for the first time, there is always a process from “falling in love at first sight” to “picky” to “getting used to it”. Over the past two and a half years, the shortcomings of the new X1 have gradually adapted. If you have to say that you have any regrets, you may obviously be a driver and have a manipulative heart, but when you are alone, you bought a “home BMW”. From time to time, I wonder why I didn’t buy the 3-Series at that time. Perhaps, it is this regret and unwillingness that indirectly contributed to the accidental change of cars. With regard to models, as priority is given to handling and comfort, the choice is mainly made in the car. First of all, it is claimed to best reflect the control of BMW’s 3-Series, which is almost the same price as the new X1, and the new model is about to go on sale, so it is quickly excluded. Secondly, the 3-series GT, once very concerned about this car, frameless doors, slippery back design, both sports and household functions, relative personality and minority existence, so that I did not want to “follow the crowd” I once felt very suitable, coupled with the reduction of tariffs and the addition of moving models before the suspension of production, the 3-series GT is less than tens of thousands more expensive than the 3-series, and the performance-to-price ratio is very high Finally, it is the new 5 series, and the reason for seeing the new 5 is relatively simple and rough. When I told 4S sales and good friends that I planned to buy a 3-series GT, their first reaction was to recommend directly to the new 5-series, and recommended to me from the angles of practicality, comfort, value preservation rate and current price concessions and configurations. Soon, the “three-minute love” of the 3-series GT was diluted by the new 5-series.
As it was the second time to buy a car, I compared the prices on the Internet and in the group, and directly contacted the sales person who sold the new X1 to me to prepare for a test drive. On Saturday morning, not only did I test-drive the sports version of 320GT and the 530li premium, but I also took the time to test-drive the new X3 that I had in mind. By comparison, in the overall feeling, the new X1 is indeed the worst comfort; the 3-series GT is stylish in appearance, good in handling, full of power, not too small in size, and shuttles freely between the traffic flow; the new 5-series has a good appearance, comfort and luxury, with a stable, heavy body and the best driving texture, but it may be relatively large and not easy to control for some novices. From a distance, the size and appearance of the new X3 is close to that of the old X5, which is very eye-catching, has a good field of vision, the interior is not much different from the new 5-series, and the driving is very comfortable, but the back row comfort is not as good as the new 5, and the back space is not as good as the new X1.

The shape of the 3-series GT is very recognizable, the frameless door is very cool, and the trunk can be installed very well. Personally, I think it is a practical and handsome model. After paying attention to it for a period of time, I heard that the addition of 3GT in May 2019 is very touching, with the same price, and the low configuration has added more than 10 million, including full LCD dashboard, professional navigation with enhanced interconnected driving, M set full configuration, and so on. Friends who don’t mind stopping production in 2020 can pay attention.

The new X3, LCD key is a bit cool, and the interior is not much different from the new 5 series. It is said that many cyclists who bought the new X1 regret why they didn’t grit their teeth on the X3, including me. Now think about it, it may be more because of dissatisfaction, there is a “longing for Shu” mentality.

The test drive of the new 5 series is the 530li premium, and it is also the first time to drive the new 5 series. Indeed, the power, comfort, texture and configuration are all very good. That is, I feel that the luxury kit is old-fashioned and prefer the M sports suite.

After a test drive of all three cars, the intention to buy a car is determined to be the new 5 series. As long as the power requirement is enough, for people like me who drive the 1.5T new X1 and ECO mode, the power of the 525li movement is enough, so it quickly ruled out the 530li lead. Then I chose the color. I originally planned to change the visual experience. I thought that the sapphire blue was very suitable for the 525li movement, but according to the sales, the sapphire blue was only available in the imported short axis version, but I still chose the relatively safe white in all aspects. After the selection, I went directly to the warehouse to see the car. There are a total of three white 525li sports cars, all of which are equipped with the original factory waist support and gesture control; one is very practical, because there is no waist support, my new X1 drives a long-distance backache and suffers from it; the other is full of gestures to answer the phone, finger circles to adjust the volume, custom gestures for the next song, which is not only practical, but also elegant.

With regard to the car price, since I am a repeat customer of the 4S store, including the discounts of loyal customers and ideas, the naked car price is more than 360000. Then add the more than 9, 000 additions I asked for, the 11000 extended insurance I bought, more than 30, 000 taxes, more than 12000 insurance, and 13000 handling fees (I thought that the cost of an oil leak in a car and a woman crying on the hood would save this fee). In addition, I pay more attention to late-stage service, including the 5-series GT that my friend bought in the store before, and my new X1 and new 5-series. I have been in contact with this 4S store for sales, after-sale and insurance many times, and it is still quite satisfactory and worry-free on the whole. Next, it took a day to complete the car inspection, payment, license, film, beauty and other processes, so the car left.

With regard to changing the stereo, it may be that their respective requirements and standards are different, or it may be because they have never heard of a high-quality and luxurious car stereo like Bauer, so there is no comparison and no feeling. In short, I feel that BMW’s original car stereo, especially the new 5’s stereo, is not as bad as many people say. The key also depends on how you modify and set it.

The new 5 series has the advantages of atmospheric appearance, comfortable driving, excellent space, sufficient power and good interior decoration, which are almost recognized by everyone, so I will not repeat them. Mainly talk about personal dynamic feelings about the 525li movement. After picking up the car, I happened to meet the “May Day” four-day short holiday. I first set off from Chengdu to pick people up in Mianyang, and then went back to my hometown in Nanchong from Mianyang. On the fourth day of the short holiday, I returned to Chengdu from Nanchong, with a total journey of more than 600 kilometers. If the previous 1.5T three-cylinder new X1 power is enough, then it is not too much to describe the 525li sport as full of power. The general feeling is that the dynamic response of the ECO mode is slower, but as long as you are willing to step on the accelerator, the speed can still get up; the dynamic response of the comfort mode and sports mode is very positive, driving and overtaking are full of confidence, especially in the sports mode. I feel that the speed is very fast, inadvertently up to 120,130 yards, but also with brakes to prevent overspeed. Because it is a rear drive, the acceleration process has a certain sense of push back, and driving is more fun than the new X1 of the front drive (the rear drive is more comfortable than the front drive, but I don’t think there’s much difference). So, I think unless you really have an obsession with power, the 525li is enough, not to mention the fact that the 525s save a little more fuel than the 530s.

The return trip on the last day of May Day was a bit bad. X1 had not encountered a flat tire for more than two years, so it was unbelievably encountered by Xin 5 on the highway, so he had to drive 80 yards all the way back to Chengdu. However, I am very glad that I chose to use a BMW with explosion-proof tires, otherwise I really don’t know what to do in the middle of the night.

Sent to the 4S store the next day for inspection, I don’t know what pricked me on the highway, the leak is not small, the sales suggested me to go outside to repair the tire. As it happens, a friend next to the 4S store opened a second-hand car shop and called a master to come over and take a few minutes and 20 yuan to finish it.
