About the BMW 530 Travel Edition, my car experience.

These “shortcomings” don’t matter to me. 530 touring can meet most of my car needs, especially the shape of earthen pots.
In terms of powertrain, it is equipped with the BMW Ward Top Ten engine N52B30, together with the BMW Royal Mobil 8AT, it will have a very linear power output feeling. But even in Sport mode, it’s not violent, and the same 258 horsepower will have a more human-car driving experience on my E90330.
Speaking of earthen pots at this price, we have to mention R36. Not to mention ZF’s 8AT, it is reliable to assemble so many BMWs and other brands. On gearbox maintenance, here a few more wordy words, personal experience combined with the views of several maintenance gods and ZF officials, BMW officially announced that the 8AT gearbox is maintenance-free for life, but did not realize that BMW has gearbox maintenance tips, but it is hidden by BMW, and it is proposed to change oil regularly in the ZF official guidance document. The reason is the same as other automatic gearboxes. When the mileage reaches a certain degree, the oil viscosity of the gearbox will increase, and there are iron filings in the oil. Because the tightness between the pistons in the automatic gearbox becomes worse than that of the new car, it is easy to release pressure, but it is precisely the viscosity of the old oil that plays a certain sealing role. So you think it’s okay if you don’t change the old oil? Wrong, because there is iron filings abrasive, it will aggravate the wear. The oil needs to be changed, preferably the gravity oil, and the filter screen should be replaced at the same time, the new and old oil will not be too thin, and the old oil discharged by gravity will take away a lot of abrasive, and the remaining abrasive can be filtered by the new filter. In short, I think it is very necessary to change the gearbox oil of this 8AT every 60-80,000 kilometers. As for the very popular circulating machine oil change in recent years, there is no more to say here, the market product. Why don’t you try a hundred thousand kilometers without changing the gearbox oil and try it with a recycling machine? Too thin new oil is easy to relieve pressure, on the contrary, it will cause shift impact after oil change.
The reason why the fifth brigade is easy to maintain, on the other hand, because the failure rate seems to be controllable, the 120000 km mileage has replaced the front oxygen sensor, coolant return pipe (really a common fault of BMW), air leakage in the rear shock bag (normal aging of rubber is difficult to avoid, it is not expensive to replace a few hundred yuan), the lack of cylinder power caused by damage to the ignition coil is limited, and the rest are routine maintenance. As for BMW’s conventional oil leakage and oil burning, I can responsibly say that it is not that terrible. My car scene is the urban viaduct and highway, the annual average speed can reach 42km/h, the engine condition is extremely good. If you use a car in the urban area, the stop-and-go speed does not go up, you really need to check the oil leakage more, and you don’t have to worry too much if it happens. Replacing all kinds of rubber washers can basically solve 90% of the problem.
