Next, I would like to share with you my experience in choosing a car.

The time to choose a car is May 2018, with a budget of 600000. It was a special period when trade frictions between China and the United States suddenly eased and implemented a short-lived “low tariff” policy. Many friends know that at that time, the tariff on imported cars was greatly reduced, and many cars with the original price of 700,000 or 800,000 were easily reduced by more than 100,000, which made me have a lot more choices. (all the selected cars below are on sale in May 2018, not cash.)
1. Audi series
Audi A6: at that time, not yet out of 2019, or the old model, service time has been relatively long, driving texture of the consistent “Volkswagen”, that is, “advanced”. As always stable, commercial, versatile, especially at that time the 45tfsi version, V6 mechanical supercharging + Tolson full-time all-wheel drive (mechanical all-wheel drive) version, in the ordinary version of A6 added Audi essence of mechanical supercharging technology and Quattro four-wheel drive, floor oil easily ran into 7 seconds, landing less than 500000, the performance-to-price ratio is extremely high. At that time, many tests spoke highly of the car, but for me, the A6 rear seat cushion always felt a little short, uncomfortable legs, and appearance really did not like, coupled with high fuel consumption, and finally gave up.
Q7 (version 2.0): the summary of cash Q7 is that what you can see is dissatisfied, and what you can’t see is excellent. Out of sight refers to the driving experience, chassis engine and all-wheel drive system. After a test drive, we can see that the Q7 is very quiet, even with a 2.0 displacement, the speed increase is very rapid, and the corner support is good. Audi’s road four-wheel drive system has always been a leader in the industry, and there is nothing to criticize. But the place that can be seen mainly refers to the interior decoration, how to put it, put a group of pictures and let’s feel it!

I still feel that Volkswagen Group’s upper and lower LCD interior design looks better, with fewer physical buttons and a higher sense of technology. According to reason, the new Touareg all use the same style of interior design, but the Q7 with a higher positioning is still the current A6, and the telescopic navigation screen central control design of the old A8 is really unable to complain, not afraid of being old-fashioned with the same door, just afraid that the brother is more handsome than it! This interior really doesn’t feel like a million-dollar luxury car. The new Q7 has only been on the market for 2 years, far away from the replacement, it seems that this interior design is going to be a way to black.
2. Mercedes-Benz
As long as you buy a luxury car, the brand that cannot be bypassed is Mercedes-Benz. Mercedes-Benz, whether it is this imaginative Chinese name or the image of a “successful person” that it has established in China for many years, makes Mercedes-Benz a benchmark in everyone’s mind, at least in some ways.
Starting with the launch of the 2014 S-Class, Mercedes-Benz began an all-car update of its super-large LCD interior style. Even if you don’t buy a Mercedes-Benz, no one will deny the success of Mercedes-Benz interiors. Based on the S-class interior style and the continuous use of lower-level cars, all series of Mercedes-Benz models feel more than one level higher than before, and the road to a surge in Mercedes-Benz sales in China has been opened. But I always think that Mercedes-Benz shape design is too elegant, resulting in a little feminine. May be aware of this, the S class in the front face made some changes (headlights into three bars), increased a little masculinity. Unfortunately, E has not changed so far. This is also one of the main reasons for giving up. Secondly, I heard that all the seats of Mercedes-Benz E-Series are made of artificial leather, not real leather. I don’t mind the setting of this price.
In addition, E this car to drive, creating an atmosphere will make you can not help but give up the idea of stepping on the accelerator, which is not consistent with my habit of driving fast, and eventually PASS.
3. Other car systems
Considered are Cadillac CT6 3.0, Volvo XC90,S90, Jaguar XFL3.0. Because it is not deep driving, only a few test drives, the understanding of these cars is limited, can not say too much.
Finally give up, the conclusion is that Volvo driving texture and sound insulation, can not compare with the first-line BBA brand.
Jaguar’s driving experience is also well received in the industry, known as “the most athletic family car”. Yes, it is more persistent than BMW, and you will like it if you drive it. Unfortunately, quality control has not been very good, there are many ailments, the back seat sitting posture is strange, not in line with the Asian sitting posture, and version 3.0 of the fuel consumption is very high, many people in the forum criticized this problem.
And the CT6 version 3.0 is a great car: on the power side, the V6 twin-turbocharged 400hp, needless to say. In terms of driving, the Cadillac chassis has been well received by the industry, coupled with electromagnetic suspension and four-wheel steering, which makes the cart very flexible to drive. In terms of sound insulation, double glazing + BOSE audio active noise reduction technology is also impeccably quiet. The only flaw is that GM’s gearbox is a bit silly, but no matter how stupid it is, even if the gearbox is dragging its feet, the car is still not picky in driving. Why finally give up, because a friend has already bought it.
4. BMW
I didn’t like BMW very much. I always thought it was expensive and nothing special. Later, I knew it was because I hadn’t driven it. I have the honor of having a friend in Beijing who lent me two BMWs for deep use, one is a 2016 640i convertible and the other is a cash 740Li.
740LI I went on a two-day and one-night trip to Beijing and Tianjin. 740 let me have a great improvement on the interior of BMW, many people think that the interior of BMW remains the same for thousands of years and lacks innovation, but in fact, the interior of BMW is not the same, but always improves the details in the same style. Although this gives up the refreshing sense of impact, the standard driving layout is always very attractive. The most important thing is that when you come into contact with the interior of BMW, you will find that it is actually very exquisite, no matter the material, workmanship, button feedback, leather touch and so on. With BMW’s interior style of “getting rid of glitz and improving its inner quality”, get has reached the G-spot for people like me who are a bit traditional.
640i let me feel the sportsmanship of BMW. I drove 640i on Sihai Mountain Road in Beijing for a day. I fully felt the charm of BMW L6+ZF8 ‘s legendary partner, which is the kind of satisfaction with a smile on the corners of my mouth. Yes, it is the “pleasure” of BMW.

Buying a car has not considered a second-class car dealer, because the authorized 4S is relatively guaranteed, if there is something wrong with the car, I am not afraid to file a lawsuit, the 4S store is sued for cheating in court, and there are many cases in which the customer’s car price is 3 times the compensation. there are national laws to protect, and the amount of compensation is so large, it is worth hiring a famous-brand lawyer! However, it is not necessary to buy a car from a second-class car dealer. if there is no acquaintance and access, the shop may be gone if there is something wrong with the car, and what kind of lawsuit will be made? I belong to people who have no way and don’t know friends in the auto industry, so I honestly buy a car in 4S.
The initial goal is 540i, because the updated L6 engine from N-series to B58 integrates the proud technology of the Bavarian engine manufacturer (BMW’s full name), and the power can meet stringent emission standards in the case of climbing to a higher floor.
Almost 5 seconds of 0-100 speed increase, inheriting most of the 7-series electronic technology, such as lane maintenance, security warning and so on. It is almost a perfect car within a million in my mind. In the end, it was abandoned because of the uncertain booking date and the higher maintenance costs in the future.
Later, it was selected as 530Li Premium M, charcoal black. HUD and electric waist support are installed. Because from 540i down, if you choose 530, the budget will be too much, so you will enjoy it directly.
BMW has now turned some add-ons into individual packages, which can no longer be installed separately as before, which has a strong taste of bundling sales. In this way, I think it is more appropriate for me to enjoy M than to take the lead and add configuration. A table is attached below to compare the configuration and installation prices of premium M and leading M according to my needs. (this is the homework of choosing a car at that time. Now I don’t know if it is useful or not. It is for your reference only. If it is not practical, please ignore it automatically. )

By comparison, we know that the premium car price is 43000 more expensive than the leading premium car, and the leading premium configuration needs 48400. It is worth it on paper, but the most important point is that the premium configuration is discounted, and there is no discount on the optional part after the discount. In other words, the extra configuration of the premium version actually requires only more than 30,000 yuan after the discount, while the leading part of the installation is actually 48400, which is already a difference of more than 10,000 yuan, plus the purchase tax can be cheaper by more than 1,000 yuan.
As to whether the configuration of premium over lead depends on personal needs, there are several good reasons for me:
1. Spoon lamp is essential because it looks more advanced and handsome.
2. In southern cities, seat ventilation and four-zone air conditioning are also necessary.
3, and the comfort function and Harman, of course, better, psychological can be more satisfied.
4, waist support and HUD are essential, BMW HUD has used to know that the same level is the best, rich features, clear visual effect, you can keep your eyes on the front while grasping some driving information, such as phone, song cutting, speed, etc., to improve safety. If you look at the forum for waist support, you will know that there is something wrong with BMW’s seat design at the waist, and it is a bit tiring to drive a long distance if you don’t install it!
With regard to my car pick-up price, because there is no financial fee and no imposed decoration, I need to buy insurance (pit) and license fee (pit) in the store, and because of the customized car (despite the fact that I only choose HUD and waist support, even if I only choose a configuration of a few thousand yuan, I also want the manufacturer to reschedule production), the discount is not very strong, plus 4S is slightly black, I can only be medium strength, it doesn’t matter how. After all, it is already 2019 models now, and the market is also different. The most important thing is to choose the configuration and color you like, and to be able to pick up the car within the planned time.
Give some advice on car selection for those who are interested in buying a 5-series:
1,525 configuration and 530 lead almost exactly the same, only the power difference, the price difference of 40000, the power requirement is not high can be considered. In fact, because of the blessing of 8AT, the rapid acceleration in the driving process is not slow, and overtaking is quite easy. The most important thing is the manufacturer’s main promotion, the current car discount is very strong, is the most cost-effective 5-series. The money saved can be used as a car film, buy some decoration, filial piety to the family, very good! Friends who don’t have enough budget and don’t want to wait, first choice!
2. It is recommended to go to the big store to have a look at the car. It is not that the big store is so good, but that there are many cars in the big store / on the way. Some cars are also equipped with some configurations, and this part of the configuration is to participate in the discount of the car price. And the current car discount is very big! If there happens to be something you like, just mention it, it’s very appropriate!
3. The quotation in the forum is always lower than what you can get. If your car price is the lowest in the forum, you’d better find an institution to do a comprehensive car inspection.
4. Despite the fact that Beijing and Shanghai are cheap to mention in other provinces in the past, many 4S stores are protected by policy not to be sold to other provinces, otherwise the whole country will send them to Beijing and Shanghai to mention them, what else can I do in other provinces? Online quotations are all fake or conditional, and they are all tricks to attract customers to the store. There must be some people who say that they can mention other provinces in Beijing and Shanghai, then I would like to say that I am afraid that if there is a dispute, I will have to drive back, eat, live and travel all the way, and spending time entangling is not money? The time and energy wasted is much greater than the price difference.

Because of the eagerness to love the car, I immediately drove back to Zhuhai local dragon film authorized general distributor to paste the car clothes, the G2 model, which is a more expensive model. When it comes to cars and clothes, there are different opinions. Some people say it is useful, add a layer of protection to the car; some say it is useless, if the car clothes are damaged in a minor accident, they should be re-pasted, and the car clothes in a big accident will not play a protective role. I posted it with a daily protection of car paint. Car owners who have not posted the car film all know that in the case of wind and rain, the original car paint will soon produce sun lines, and there will be obvious astigmatism and gray feeling in the sun, and if a layer of car film is pasted, there will be no sun lines. The protective effect of the membrane can be said to be an extra surprise. Once I had just parked my car in an outdoor parking lot when I saw a bear child riding mobike between my car and another car. I can only give up. How to know that when I went back to the film shop to wash the car, the store told me that this degree of scratches could be repaired. I saw the technician rinse the scratches with hot water for a while, then took a bottle of toothpaste and wiped it a few times, and the scratches disappeared! Disappeared! Later, it was proved by practice that after several high-speed runs on the gravel section of the road during the Spring Festival, I got off to check the lower fender and found that it did not leave a scar. It seems that this film still has a certain protective effect.
This experience has made me have a new look on cars and clothes. From a rational point of view, give some advice to interested friends.
1. Qualified big-brand cars and clothes certainly protect the glossiness of car paint and can indeed restrain the production of sun patterns.
2. Qualified big-brand cars and clothing do have a protective effect on slight scratches and crushed stones caused by high-speed collapse, but whether they can be repaired depends on the specific injuries.
3. If the car paint / clothing is damaged, for models with more than 500,000 or 600,000 yuan, the price of a pair of paint is about the same as that of cars and clothes of the corresponding area. In other words, the more expensive the car is, the cheaper it is to change clothes compared to repainting. And to take into account that repainting may, after all, bring chromatic aberration, and insurance will lead to an increase in insurance costs in the following year. Therefore, it can not be said that cars and clothes must be more cost-effective than repainting, but certainly not less cost-effective than repainting.
4. If a serious accident occurs, cars and clothing can be included in the scope of insurance claims. The premise is that cars and clothes must be affixed with regular big brands and can issue invoices. Cars and clothing with complete information belong to the legally assembled parts of the vehicle and can apply for claim settlement. My shop owner also said, about the car and clothing claims after the accident, just call him, he is responsible for handling, if the insurance does not cover the compensation in his store! I am very relieved to hear this. To avoid the suspicion of advertising, not to mention the contact information, the technician’s uniform in the picture has written the name of the shop where I posted cars and clothes, and the local friends in Zhuhai just search for it, !
If it is a relatively inexpensive family car, sticking clothes should be carefully considered. Although it does guarantee that the paint will not produce sun lines, if the car and clothing are damaged, the price of changing clothes may be higher than that of repainting, so consider carefully! And daily driving, be careful, be careful!

Another point is that I choose Chevron special fuel additive, the main function is to “delay the production of carbon from the fuel injection nozzle” attention is to delay, not clean. No cleaning function, no cleaning function! Say the important words three times. I’ll probably add one every other box of gas. It has traveled 10000 + kilometers so far. The first insurance is made at 6000 kilometers (recommended by the 4S store).
1, fuel consumption: usually add 95 oil, every other box of oil add a bottle of additives, the current computer shows 10.5 oil.
2. Driving experience: Most of the time, comfort mode is driving and overtaking is frequent. Occasionally, when traffic jams are cut into ECO mode, and when there are few cars, SPORT mode will be turned on to step on floor oil. Although the book horsepower is only 252, its perfect match with the ZF8 gives it a 100-kilometer speed increase in just over 6 seconds. But in fact, speeding up 100 kilometers is not BMW’s strong point. Speed up to respond to emergencies and sudden needs while driving is BMW’s strong point. The most obvious thing is that when overtaking, you stomp on the floor oil and downshift almost at the same time. You can even downshift from 8th gear to 2nd gear!!! After a very short turbo delay, the obvious feeling of pushing you back can push you more than 110KM before it becomes significantly weakened (this is also the biggest watershed of the 540i, which is similar to the speed up in the previous stage). Therefore, frequent overtaking on the road is convenient for BMW, and it is a pleasure for BMW owners. (Safety first, do what you can within your capabilities)
Of course, driving in the back seat like this makes it uncomfortable for passengers. Because the car is too long, the rear will always look sloppy, and it will always slow down when changing lanes, so it is generally not suitable for long-term intense driving. The sound wave is only interesting when it reaches 5000+ revolutions. After all, it is a 4-cylinder machine, and the car is soundproofed. I can only fantasize about it myself, but in fact it is not worth mentioning.
3. Ride experience: BMW’s rear seat ride experience can responsibly tell you that it is the most comfortable in the BBA. The seat is wide and thick, the length and tilt angle of the cushion perfectly support the thighs, the angle of the backrest and headrest is adjustable, and with excellent sound insulation, you can fall asleep after sitting for a while… If someone else was driving, I’d rather sit in the back and enjoy it. However, because the tire prevention is too hard, most of the noise comes from the tire prevention. I plan to try silent tires next time. The front seat experience is not very good. The seats are thin and the backrest posture always feels a little uncomfortable. The support is not bad, and the comfort is not as good as that of a car with more than 100,000 yuan.
4. Audio-visual multimedia system: It is very easy to get started, the system is not stuck, and the voice command recognition is very high. For Harman Audio, if you use Bluetooth on your mobile phone, it doesn’t feel that it’s much better than an ordinary car. It’s just that there are more speakers that make the sound in the car more full. When you have the opportunity to use a USB flash drive or a better MP3 to play non-destructive music. Try it.
