Before driving this car, I didn’t feel that the power was so good, and it was a pity that I didn’t choose 535i (now I still regret it, the more I think about it, the more I lose). Now drive the Mercedes-Benz C200, and then go back to the 530i, and the difference will come out immediately.
Although the C200 accelerates around 7.5 and the 530i is labeled 6.9, it looks half a second behind, and its physical feel is really different. The 5th brigade went out with a little bit of gas, and the throttle to 3000 has accelerated a bit. The shift speed is fast, and the key is that the ZF box is really smart. You know when and what to do, and when you expect it to move up the gear, it will be in gear.
C 200 can be different, to 3000 revolutions just a little rapid acceleration meaning, usually really have to step on a very deep start to have the feeling that the car is accelerating. The gearbox is not smart enough, at least Mercedes-Benz’s low-power 9AT is really not smart enough, and the shift is not so active. I often see that it stays at 2000 rpm for a long time before it goes up to the next gear. sometimes it goes up when it steps on the accelerator less than 1500. So far, I still don’t know what its logic is. The good luck is that Mercedes-Benz has been equipped with a shift pick, so let’s control it manually.
However, if I am used to driving a small car like C, it will be a little uncertain to drive another 5 brigades.

In recent years, some small things have been added, except for the original factory reversing image that was first trapped in 4S, and first the semi-LCD was replaced in 16, and now the semi-LCD has been in service in the car for longer than the original mechanical instruments. Except that sometimes I am a little dissatisfied with the brightness, there is nothing wrong with the display.
Later, when I changed to Harman No. 5 High School, the high-pitched performance really improved the acoustics that most people could hear. I think it is not so necessary to change the whole Harman or BO, and I think there will be a strange noise when I dismantle the car.
Then last year, I found time to add the same original factory digital tire pressure, this thing is not expensive, but it can improve the driving sense of security, it is still worth it. The key can also display the temperature, I also increased the original factory digital tire pressure of C, there is no temperature display.
Now it feels like this guy really needs to add a few more things. One is the late NBT, which can support CarPlay. I like it to display real-time traffic conditions. Now CIC can not display real-time traffic conditions is really troublesome, the original factory navigation practicality is greatly reduced. Second, the whole car has no keys to enter, and it is indeed much more convenient to have this thing on the C, but the 5th Brigade has to change to a DME module. It is said that if you kick the rear door and replace the assembly of my original car, you will have to spend a little bit of money– moreover, you have to remove four door panels. If I want to add this one day, I’ll put Harman on it as well.
Before, I was going to make a big fuss, among other things, at least I was equipped with the options that could be installed on the promotional page, such as four-zone air conditioning, follow-up steering headlights, lane departure warning, keyless entry, L7 stereo, comfortable seat, seat ventilation, rear row heating, and at one point I wanted to tear down an old 3.0×3 xDrive30i transfer box and change it into a four-wheel drive car. After seeing a lot of new cars in recent years, I suddenly feel that it is not necessary to build a lot of construction on the old car. The key driver feels that the texture of the chassis is still the same. Dismantling the car has the risk of breaking it, and it may not be enjoyed for long after a few years. After that, it may not be reflected in the second-hand price (anyway, Brigade 5 is said to have a lower value preservation rate than the domestic long shaft). Why bother? After looking at several cases of modification, I really need to add such a lot of things that I can expect to land a new top-equipped eMG6, which is 200000 smaller. The car has been on the ground for eight years since March this year, when the traffic restrictions on April 1st will be suspended directly, so there is really no need to toss around any more. It is better to save some money for a new car with these configurations.
So I also collected the homework of a 530i station wagon with various configurations at that time, and I also collected an article on the finished car of a late-installed Shenzhen car friend, but just to see, I didn’t have the mentality that I had to toss about at that time. This standard leading model is also OK, compared with the 530Li luxury model or even the 535Li leading model at that time, there is no more configuration that I particularly coveted, forget it.

At present, there is nothing wrong with this car, and there is still something wrong with it, but it is not a hard wound.
First, blowing hot air without turning on the air conditioner, this is a mistake in the design of the N52 air conditioning system, so I have to turn on the compressor as long as the outside temperature is not lower than 21 degrees. Whistling doesn’t bother me anymore, because I turn on the air conditioner so much that it’s gone as soon as I turn it on.
The second, the brake clamp is strange, this is because the buffer glue between the caliper and the brake pads has been washed away by the car wash, can be re-loaded, does not affect the use, I do not care, the brake is normal.
Third, the oil filling port of N52 is a little leaking, so it would be better to change the sealing device. At present, the oil still does not burn at all, in case it starts to leak or burn, I now have a way to deal with it. BMW professionals I know can handle it, at the very least, it will not be as incurable as the second-generation EA888.
Fourth, the wheel hub is a little undurable. I don’t know if the suspension is too hard to cause the impact or something. I cracked and replaced it before, but now it is said that there is another slight deformation, but it works. I do a good dynamic balance and load the car without shaking, but it is OK. I now have a low tire pressure and a hot tire pressure of 2.2. I feel a little better than before, but I still have to hide when I encounter a pit. By the way, this number 330 seven-spoke wheel itself is very rare, but it also has two models, my car is 8J width with 245 tires, there is one used in the rear wheel 9J width with 275 tires, the domestic only 528i xDrive, that car is more rare than the 530i travel version, I am afraid to change the wheels for more than a week, I have to transfer from Singapore, I am afraid it is a month.

Nowadays, I can occasionally see the same or modified 520i on the road. I still think this guy is quite beautiful, especially the 530i with 330 wheels. There is nothing much in the official picture of the home. If you see a car like this on the sidewalk, washed cleanly and passing in front of you with bright double round daytime running lights, you may think, well, this owner is really tasteful. This generation of 5 Series designed by Hoydenk can really be called a classic, and I think it can even be on par with Bangor’s E60. Really, whether it is this very sophisticated 530i leading travel version, the standard axle 535i, or the B5 modified by Albina overseas, the entire F10 family is really very elegant and beautiful, and those medium and high equipped cars with standard wheelbases can convey that sense of sportiness, and you won’t feel that this car is outdated after a long time.

Fortunately, I contributed sales to BMW at that time. I myself got the only meeting point in China for the standard axle 5 series, 8AT and N52B30A. Although I also felt that this car’s suspension hard configuration had a low power ratio than those of the new 2.0T, but now I feel that those complaints are no longer a big deal. At most, I complain that I was obsessed with discounts and existing cars and didn’t choose more configurations.
But I don’t regret it now, really.
