Let’s take a look at the appearance first. when we first saw the picture of the change, the design of the headlight part of the front was a little unacceptable. The design of the front part is mainly the redesign of the headlight system and intake grille style. the upper part of the headlamp is penetrated by a line left and right, forming a light belt effect, which is very recognizable when lit at night, and the redesign of the headlamp makes the whole front center of gravity lower. The area of the intake grille has become larger and more exaggerated, occupying half of the front of the car, and embedded with a lot of driving assistance system sensors.

The new Golf 8 headlight system, also known as IQLIGHT, matrix LED headlights, with 22 independently adjustable LED light matrix lights, equipped with turn left and right to adjust the lighting and other functions.

The redesigned R-Line logo is flatter and more streamlined, keeping up with the trend of the times. The R logo is artistically processed and has a sense of design.

There is little change in the side, the tire specification is 225/45R17, using Dunlop SPSPORTMAXX series tires.

The rear of the car is still the most significant change in headlights, from seven generations of similar oval headlamps to ladder-shaped sharp IQLIGTH smart lights, the design is more robust.

Since it is called the new digital golf, let’s talk about its high-tech configuration. The left side of the steering wheel is the functional area of the travel assistance system, which is simply a combination of adaptive cruise system, lane maintenance system and automatic braking system for front car distance measurement. It can assist driving vehicles when driving long distances, and it can be easier and safer to drive and escort. Under the test on the fourth Ring Road in Beijing, because the ground signs are not clear, sometimes the lanes will be identified. The car is also equipped with a parallel display system, which can display speed, navigation information, traffic signs, auxiliary driving information and other practical functions that are very conducive to driving.

The navigation function of the car-machine system can not only be handwritten to enter the destination, but also can be controlled by voice to set the navigation destination. You can wake up the voice function simply by saying, “Hello, Volkswagen”, or through the button on the right side of the steering wheel. Using voice to set up navigation is very convenient and often safe while driving.

You can use the function key on the right side of the steering wheel to change the display interface of the dashboard and switch to navigation mode, making it easier to view the map when driving.

The new Golf 8 still uses Golf 7’s EA211 engine, but has been completely optimized. The engine code is DJS, as the sixth version of EA211 engine, the horsepower is 150hp, the power is 110Kw, the gearbox is 7-speed double clutch gearbox, and the torque is 250Nm.

It should be noted that the oil of this engine needs to use 0W-20 oil and needs to comply with Volkswagen VW50800 certification standards. if you go to the maintenance shop, be sure to read the label and certification before maintenance and replacement.

This car is the top model of the 2021 280TSIDSGR-Line, the official price is 165800 yuan, in addition to the very rich technology configuration, that is the unique R-Line appearance kit, the front intake grille has been blackened, the piano paint material with bright surface has been touched by hand, and black decoration strips have been added on both sides, which is more domineering than the general version, which is more hierarchical, three-dimensional and war-like than the general version. And the R-Line belongs to home.

The newly added leaf board decoration bar with R logo is decorated on the car body like a delicate logo to maintain a unique R owner identity.

The R-Line version of the exhaust outlet is a two-sided and four-out square outlet style, but it is only decorative, the tail part is closed, and the real exhaust tail port is on the inside. In any case, the visual effect is sharp enough, and now many models are designed in this way. It’s both economical and beautiful, so why not do it?

There are two ultra-long bags in the trunk, with two sets of composite bows inside. I have been practicing archery recently and go to the Arrow Hall to practice every weekend. After shooting, I have to rush to the Arrow Hall, so I brought it with me to test the loading capacity of this car. This ultra-long bow bag cannot be placed horizontally. Fortunately, the rear row can be lowered proportionately, expanding the trunk space.

The new Golf 8 model is equipped with many high-tech assistance systems to make driving easier and safer. The automatic parking system needs to be optimized again. The texture of the interior has been significantly improved, making it more refined and modern, keeping pace with the times. The engine follows the previous generation EA211 engine and hopes to be updated as soon as possible.
