Using renewable fuels, Bentley Continental GT3 Pike Peak Racing Car
This racing car is derived from the Continental GT3. Bentley uses biofuel-based gasoline, which can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 85% compared to standard fossil fuels.
The Continental GT3 Pike Peak is known as “the most extreme Bentley road car in history” and is powered by a 4.0-liter turbocharged V8 engine. And Bentley has made many adjustments to the engine to ensure that it can operate in mountains at an altitude of 4298 meters. The exhaust pipes on both sides of the body will give off the kind of shaking sound you expect from hard-core racing cars.
Other modifications include a redesigned aerodynamic package, including cooling air intakes on the rear triangular window. What’s more, the car has “Bentley’s largest tail fin ever” and sits above the new high-performance diffuser.
Bentley hopes to promote the Beyond100 strategy through the use of renewable fuels, which will further reduce emissions and promote the development of electrification.
Bentley will launch hybrid power for all models by 2023; by 2030, Bentley will only offer pure tram models.
