Doesn’t he smell good for nothing? ATSL records another manufacturer claim
Last Friday, while doing minor maintenance, I found that the rear right differential oil was leaking because I knew about GM’s warranty and claim information. So I directly discussed with the 4S shop, settled the claim, and repaired the rear differential seal once. Because the 4S shop had no accessories, I was told that I would wait for a while, and I was told that I could replace it on Monday. Today happened to be Friday again. I entered the store and continued repairing Xiaoka.
When you arrive at the store at 9:20 on Friday, there is basically no need to queue. If this was a weekend, it would take a long time to wait.
It’s not very clear to see from this angle. Give a clear view of where oil seeps.
Some people may ask, is it necessary to replace it just because oil leaks? Maybe I will give you a little knowledge of cars. Inside the rear differential is a mechanical structure, and there is differential oil in it. This oil provides a certain lubrication effect to the gears. If oil leakage or oil leakage occurs, it proves that the operating environment of the differential has begun to run short of oil. It is very likely that your differential will start to dry wear. If you are not replaced in time, the result is likely to be replacing the entire differential. So once it starts to occur, pay attention to oil leakage.
Not only is the oil leaking all over again, but the warranty plan provided by the manufacturer is also to replace the two differential oil seals together. There is no one else in GM General’s service, right?
The mechanic first used a cannon to remove the fixing screws of the half-shaft and rear differential. The overall link part can come into view.
The master used a tool to pry the part connected to the half shaft.
This is the mechanical parts that have been removed, connecting the differential again and the half shafts again. If the thread is not clear, it is likely that wear has occurred. But mine still looks very healthy.
I just changed the same rear differential oil from Porsche a few months ago. This lubricating effect is still quite good.
Take a close photo and you can see the rear differential seal ring.
The seal ring below is on the left side and has cracked as an old saying goes, so it is not surprising that oil leaks. This is a lossy part. The rubber ages over a long time. With the output of 280P high-horsepower, it is normal to age in advance. Therefore, it is also a conscience for manufacturers to make claims.
Inside the rear differential. Still as bright as new. Some people may ask, do you need to replace the differential oil to replace the seal ring? Actually, I don’t need to.
Imported sealing rings from USA. GM Factory Guarantee.
This texture, compared to the old sealing ring just now, is it instantly refreshing?
Special tools are still needed to install the sealing ring. Wild roads can easily lead to loose seals and continue to leak oil.
Special equipment display for sealing rings.

The rear differential is a unique mechanical configuration only available for rear driving.
The oil remaining before must be cleaned up. This little operation. I’m obsessive-compulsive, and I feel comfortable watching it.
Use a high-pressure air gun to blow dry the cleaned area. These are clean.
Is it much cleaner overall?
You have always brought your own towels when washing cars. The original ATSL car paint for 4 and a half years old is it new?
There were not many people in the after-sales area, so I brought my computer to process the emails and check the status of the server. Have coffee and go home.
