I have been picking up the car for about five years. Because of the work, I spend more time on the car and the intensity of the car is greater, so the maintenance frequency is also quite high. I choose to do the small maintenance in FAW Toyota dealership, such as: changing the oil and air filter, these tasks are handed over to the professional maintenance technician in the distribution store, which makes me very relieved. Because my car has traveled 60,000 kilometers, this maintenance can be regarded as a major maintenance, which requires a comprehensive inspection and repair. After I entered the store by telephone appointment, the staff immediately arranged for me and saw that my car was lifted. The maintenance was completed by two masters, and the repairman of the distributor carried out a comprehensive and systematic inspection of the car.
In the process of inspection, it is found that the brake pads of the car are worn seriously and need to be replaced. The repairman of the distributor told me that the general wear limit of brake pads is 2mm, and they must be replaced when the thickness of brake pads is lower than 2mm, otherwise it will reduce the braking effect and even cause safety accidents. The specific replacement time period of brake pads is not fixed, which is related to the driving conditions and the driving habits of drivers. Brake pads may wear faster if drivers often drive on highways, mountain roads and other complex road conditions, or if drivers often slam on the brakes or rely on brakes to slow down. Therefore, it is necessary to check the wear degree of brake pads regularly and replace them in time.
The master skillfully took out the old brake pads and installed the new ones. The new brake pads have higher friction coefficient and better braking performance.
When it’s time for four-wheel positioning, the two masters work quickly, install wheel testing equipment, and constantly adjust the data of each tire through computer testing, and finally achieve four-wheel balance.
The next step is to change the oil and oil filter element. First, the old oil was discharged, and the master used a wrench to unscrew the bolts at the bottom of the vehicle to allow the old oil to flow into the container.
Then the master installed a new oil filter for the car, which is a crucial step. The master explained while operating: the function of the oil filter is to filter out the impurities, colloids and moisture in the oil, and transport the clean oil to all lubricating parts. Therefore, the oil filter element can effectively prevent impurities from entering the engine and protect the service life of the engine.
The vehicle continues to drop, followed by the inspection of the air conditioner filter element and the air filter element. The function of the air filter element is to filter the dust in the air to ensure that the air entering the engine is clean and to ensure the normal operation of the engine; the air conditioning filter element can effectively filter out the dust and impurities in the air conditioning system and ensure the normal operation of the air conditioning system.
The master took out the old air filter element and air-conditioning filter element in the car and found that both air filter element and air-conditioning filter element needed to be replaced. After checking and confirming with me, the master changed it quickly.
Finally, the repairman of the dealership carried out a comprehensive cleaning of the car, including the appearance and interior decoration. In the cleaning process, the dirt and oil dirt on the surface of the vehicle can be effectively removed. After the cleaning, my car looks as clean and tidy as new.
