Today, the APP on my mobile phone showed that a delivery had arrived. It should be the newly purchased car key shell, so I braved the snow to get the delivery.

For no reason, I remembered the famous poem by Zhang Dayou: Black dogs are white, and white dogs are swollen.

This is the new shell.

The original shell was broken where it popped out. Remove the original circuit board and physical key and prepare to install the new shell.

There is a difficulty in replacing the shell, that is, the pin used to fix the physical key must be punched out the originally fixed pin.

Then use the new pin to secure the physical key to the new shell.

The fixing method is also simple. After alignment, just fix the pin to the hole.

Put this small wire around the pin

The small steel wire penetrates through, and the pin remains in the hole. The ideal state is one-time success, but I have tried several times.

Insert the pin slightly, and use a hammer to drive the remaining part in. Because I had no tools, hammer, or pliers, it was very difficult to replace it. Fortunately, I finally drove the pin in, so that the physical key was fixed.

Put the circuit board on.

Put the lid on it, activate it, and it’s done.

Finally, stick this Citroen logo on the key.

In this way, you can replace the key shell and activate it. The activation method is to open the car with the physical key. When the power is on, press and hold the lock button for a few seconds.

Finally, I photographed the tool I used to replace because I had no tools. This wire stripper is used as a vise.

This wrench is used as a hammer first.

Later, the wrench couldn’t work or the strength was not enough, so I used this empty bottle to knock, but this could be knocked. The one-dollar coin is used to open the key shell.

This is the old key shell that has been replaced and the new physical key with no teeth.
In fact, it’s quite simple, except that replacing the physical key is not easy to operate.
