After running 6000 kilometers for 5 months to replace the external air conditioning filter element, I had a surprise
The HEPA external air conditioning filter modified by myself has been running for 6000 kilometers in 5 months. I felt that spring dust and pollen would come soon, so I replaced it with a new one (it was still the HEPA filter modified by myself). It can be seen that the blue HEPA filter paper can filter out most of the dust, but the original filter inside is basically only a little dirty, which means that the HEPA filter he modified is still useful. The external filter element was already very dirty, so I decided to take it apart and take a look inside.
Comparison between old and new
Remove the primary filter cotton, dust flies, and the blue HEPA filter paper inside is already very dirty
HEPA filter paper is also very dirty inside, but the original filter element is not very dirty
The original filter element has only a little bit of dust
The back of the old modified filter element is very clean.
The air filter was also replaced with a new one. I have traveled 12000 kilometers
There are many insect corpses
A lot of sand came out again
The back is clean. I don’t change filter elements according to mileage, but according to my mood. Anyway, it’s not too much to do it yourself.
By the way, look at the oil outlet. It has been 70,000 kilometers in 5 years.
External filter elements, I will replace them after running 4, 5, or 6000 kilometers, and replace them after about 10,000 air filters. Last year, we stocked a lot of filter elements on the Double 11. If we replace them at this frequency, they will last for several years.
