Replace the front wheel bearings yourself

Recently, it’s a bit noisy when running. If you go faster, you will make a whoosh sound. The two front wheels are pushed up and turned by hand on the left side, but there will be a whoosh sound on the right side, which means that the right front wheel bearing is worn, so the universal bearings, which are called loading parts, can be replaced by themselves when they arrive.

front wheel bearing

This bearing is still a big pile

Double insurance construction of 2.5-ton jack combined with safety bracket

Remove the tire and remove the shaft head 32mm large nut

Spray some loosening agent on every screw and nut to be removed

Remove the screws connecting the horn of the shock absorber

Remove the arm connecting screws

Remove the brake caliper bracket fixing screws

The bearings are inside

Hold it all down

As the saying goes, big factories freeze and small factories burn, knock hard on them yourself…

After knocking it out, use an angle grinder to cut the bearing base to leave the marks and then knock it out.

Remove the circlip in the horn first and then knock out the old bearing. When installing the new bearing, my hands were too dirty, so I didn’t take photos. I slowly knock it back in reverse order (it’s best to have a press machine to install the bearing, if you don’t have it, knock it back)

The same is true for installation and restoration, and use a torque wrench to tighten each removal screw in reverse order.

Maintenance habits It takes more than three hours to record mileage. Thank you for your appreciation!
