It was the first time to change brake oil in 120,000 kilometers. I changed brake oil alone, no problem

The brake oil has been changed for the first time for a car of 120000 kilometers in 12 years. In fact, the brake oil has been bought a long time ago. There has been no spare change, and there is no problem with the brakes. The weather is particularly warm these days, so consider changing the oil. This time I use the traditional method: step on the big method! Save version method to change oil.
It usually takes two people to change brake oil by stepping on the foot, one stepping on the brakes in the cab, the other putting oil on the wheels, and pouring brake oil into the kettle in time. But I want to tell you that it is enough for all of these things to be done alone. Of course, having a large number of people has an advantage, so if you have a chance to call a friend to help, you really need to save some trouble. I did the whole thing by myself.

After 12 years, the brake oil has been changed for the first time for 120000 kilometers, and there is nothing wrong with the brakes. The annual examination is normal and the use is also normal.

I bought Bosch DOT4 brake oil.

There is a DOT4 sign on the lid of the brake oil kettle, which looks like this when the lid is unscrewed.

This is what it looks like after unscrewing the lid.

Use a large 60ml syringe to suck off the old oil. the needle is not long enough, plus a yellow gun is long enough to insert it into the bottom.

Suck off the old oil with a large 60ml syringe, and you can probably suck out 200ml or so.

Suck off the old oil three times with a large 60ml syringe, and you can probably suck out 200ml. Brake oil is yellow enough, and the water content should be high, but it does not affect normal use.

The kettle is almost empty. Fill the kettle with new oil first and pour it slowly, especially when it suddenly narrows at the opening, and the oil will come up all of a sudden. Brake oil is corrosive, so try not to spill it anywhere else.

One tube is 60ml, a total of three tubes is almost 200ml, and the oil pot is almost to the end.

Take off the left rear wheel first.

The general rule of changing oil is: turn one after another and then the front wheel. The discharge order of my brake oil is: left rear wheel-right rear wheel-left front wheel-right front wheel

The rear wheel drain screw is a 7mm wrench.

Remove the tires, remove the rubber dust cap, and put the tubing on it.

Remove the tires, remove the rubber dust cap, and put the tubing on it. Twist the feed screw and start to drain the oil.

This is an oil bottle. Just find an ordinary empty mineral water bottle.

At this time, you can step on the brake pedal, because you have to get off several times, so don’t sit down and hit the brake. I took the position of standing on the ground with my right foot outside, holding on to the A-pillar with both hands and stepping on it with my left foot. It’s not awkward to step on the left and right feet in turn, so it’s easy.

Because there is no ignition, so the brake pedal is relatively hard, easy to step on the range is actually not large, it is estimated that you have to step on 60 feet to put the kettle brake oil to the bottom position. If you step on 20 feet, you will know better if you look at the oil pot once more. There is still a lot of room at the bottom of the kettle, so there will be no problem if you operate it carefully.

The brake oil is discharged when you hit the brake, but the oil is automatically replenished from the kettle when you lift the brake. Even if it is thought that the oil discharged from the pipe will flow back when lifting the brake, that amount, if any, is very small, and it will be discharged again when you hit the brake again. Moreover, it is impossible to lift the brake oil and suck it back, it will only be replenished from the tubing, which is determined by the structure of the entire brake system.

The rear wheel brake line is long and needs to discharge more brake oil. I change the brake oil alone. One thing I should pay attention to is to make sure that the brake oil can not be cut off in the brake kettle! Be careful not to compare the color with the oil in the bottle. If the oil accumulates, the color will be darker. Compare the color of the pipe with the oil of the pipe. This is the brake oil from the left rear wheel.

Then put the brake oil on the right rear wheel in the same way. But the brake oil here soon cleared.

Then put the brake oil on the right rear wheel in the same way.

Then put the brake oil on the right rear wheel in the same way.

Finally, tighten the oil release screw and plug the rubber plug to complete the right rear rotation of oil.

Start putting brake oil on the left front wheel in the same way.

The oil drain screw is 11mm and can be replaced by a movable wrench.

Connect the hose, oil kettle, and loosen the oil release screw.

Connect the hose, oil kettle, and loosen the oil release screw. Discharge the oil, the distance of the front wheel is short, and the oil becomes clear soon. Reset and install.

Like the left front wheel, connect the hose, oil pot, and loosen the oil release screw. Discharge the oil, the distance of the front wheel is short, and the oil becomes clear soon. Reset and install.

Use a movable wrench to loosen the screw and release the oil, and then lock it.

Like the left front wheel, connect the hose, oil pot, and loosen the oil release screw. Discharge the oil, the distance of the front wheel is short, and the oil becomes clear soon. Reset and install.

Make a mark before draining the oil to see how much oil is needed to clear the oil. After the brake oil of the last wheel becomes lighter, step on the new oil that has just been filled into the liquid level of the oil pot between the upper and lower limits. After the change, start reversing in place to try the brakes, after normal, and then drive out to test drive, the braking performance is normal! If you are a fastidious person, find a piece of gravel road, step out the ABS and drain the oil again. I don’t want to explain why. Normally, I can just change a bottle like me.
