Replace the shock absorber flat bearing during the warranty period

I purchased my Toukai in late 2019. When I was driving to more than 20,000 kilometers in 22 years, I found that there was always a clattering noise in the damping position of the front wheel when turning. This was not the case when driving normally in a straight line. I thought that the warranty period would come out at the end of 22, and the policy of free repair and replacement of non-wearing parts within the warranty period, so I found a time to come to the store for an inspection.

Explain the situation with the maintenance technician and issue a bill and conduct a visual inspection of the vehicle.
The maintenance master drove the vehicle in the yard and felt the abnormal sound. He directly asserted that there was a problem with the flat bearing of the shock absorber. After consulting the warehouse for spare parts, he started the replacement construction. During construction, he also chatted with the master. Toukai This car uses McPherson independent front suspension and torsion beam non-independent rear suspension. The key point here is that the McPherson suspension is characterized by spring shock absorbers as load-bearing struts, and combined with steering knuckles to bear the left and right turning pivots of steering. The plane bearing is installed on the top of the shock absorber, between the spring and the shock absorber top glue. It must withstand the pressure from up and down and be able to rotate freely, so for McPherson suspension, the plane bearing is an important part. Here is also a simple share of the replacement process.

The first thing to do is to remove the front windshield rainwater collection channel.

Remove the screws on the top of the shock absorber.

Remove the tire.

Remove the brake oil pipe buckle.

Remove the brake pads.

Remove the brake disc fixing screws.

Removed shock absorber.

The damaged plane bearing will not cause any problems when viewed from the outside, but the inner ball bearings will be damaged.

After checking, the master reminded me that the top glue was actually slightly damaged, but at present, one is not serious and does not affect the use, and the other is that the spare parts warehouse is out of stock, otherwise I would have replaced it this time. There was no choice but to wait until it became serious in the future before repairing it at my own expense.
The maintenance technician replaced the flat bearings on the left and right front wheels and reset the shock absorber. The process will not be described in detail.

A dust blowing treatment was done on the front cabin.

Reset the rain chute.

Because during the warranty period, there are no labor and material costs to replace two flat bearings, and maintenance orders will be issued normally to enjoy the replacement warranty.

The abnormal sound disappeared after replacing the flat bearing.
