replacing spark plugs

The car has already traveled for 60,000 kilometers. I don’t know if the original owner changed the spark plug, but I’ll just pretend he never changed it.
The normal service life of the NGK spark plug used by Volkswagen is 100,000 kilometers. It is no problem to use 70,000 to 80,000 kilometers on a supercharged engine. We are safe and it is no problem to replace it with 60,000 to 70,000 kilometers.
In the past, the Touran also used NGK spark plugs, and I always changed them every 60,000 kilometers. Fortunately, the spark plugs in the original car were not too expensive. I bought them imported on a certain fish for 60 yuan each. I can’t tell if they are real or fake. Anyway, the model is exactly the same as the original car.
These are the tools I need to use to replace the spark plug this time. This time I prepared a torque wrench and anti-seizure agent. These are things I have never used before.
These imported original spark plugs on a certain fish are not too expensive, ranging from 60 to more than 100 meters. Four of them cost 240 meters, and they don’t feel very expensive.
Remove the engine cover and you can see the four ignition coils.
The basic disassembly sequence is to first remove the four grounding wires on the ignition coil, then remove the ignition coil plug, remove the ignition coil fixing bolts, and pull out the ignition coil. After that, you can use the spark plug tool to unscrew the spark plug.
First remove the plug on the ignition coil, use your finger to dial up the rectangular thing as shown in the figure, stop when you hear a “tap”, and then pull the plug up a little. After pulling out all four plugs a little, pull out the four plugs as a whole.
Pull out the ignition coil vertically and forcefully
After the ignition coil is removed, the spark plug can be removed with a spark plug tool
Personally, I feel that it is normal for spark plugs to burn
Comparison between old and new
Ready to install a new spark plug
Apply anti-seizure agent to the threads. I learned to use this from others. In fact, I have replaced the spark plug six or seven times, but I have never used this thing, and there have been no problems.
Tighten the spark plug with a torque wrench of 25N.
After all four spark plugs are installed, the ignition coil is installed. You can install it back on the same way you removed it.
Everything was normal after ignition and test run.
the engine runs smoothly
Fasten on the large cover and finish the work.
