DIY-Continue, Jialv cleans the throttle, and disassembles the ignition coil and spark plug-P2

Last time, we talked about the disassembly and assembly of Jiaru ignition coil and spark plug, and also improved the clamp of the trachea.
Go to 4S store or community repair shop for maintenance and repair, perhaps some technicians recommend cleaning the throttle, is it necessary to clean the throttle? Sometimes the idle speed jitter is severe when the cold car starts in winter. What may it have to do with it? Let’s talk about the disassembly and cleaning of the Jialu throttle.
Newer car designs have eliminated the idle motor, which keeps the engine running by giving the engine a by-pass when the throttle is empty (without stepping on the throttle pedal) and when the intake valve plate is closed. Jiaru also does not have idle motor, but relies on electronic control throttle to maintain idle speed, that is, ECU (engine control module) controls to open a little throttle plate when the throttle is empty, that is, Jiaru does not have the problem of cleaning idle motor.
Don’t talk about it. Open it.

Let’s start with a layout diagram of the intake system. Component 16 is the throttle.
Few tools are required, as follows:
1. Cross change knife, disassemble and assemble intake pipe clamp (changed to worm clamp, word change knife, sleeve can be removed)
2. T30 batch head, disassemble and disassemble throttle fixing bolts
3. Combination tools
Removal steps:
1. Remove the air intake pipe at the front of the air filter box, part No. 1 below

2. Remove the connector of the inlet temperature and pressure two-in-one sensor (part No. 8 in figure 1) and remove the waste gas recovery tube stuck on the intake pipe, see the photo below.
3. Disassemble the intake pipe, figure 1, part 12. The front end of the intake pipe is connected with the turbocharger and the rear end of the throttle is connected with a plastic pin structure (see photo below). It seems that the disassembly is faster than the bolt connection, but the clip is very tight and difficult to remove, and the plastic parts are easy to break when they age. German style, VW provides a special tool, DIY does not need to buy this special tool, with two words into the knife card can be taken out.

4. Finally, remove the 4 fixing bolts (T30) of the throttle and you can easily take off the throttle. The position of the bolt is shown in the figure below.

Removing the throttle looks relatively clean, maybe the former car owner maintained and cleaned the throttle in the 4S store. In recent years, with the increasingly stringent emission regulations in the mainland, the cleanliness of fuel has been greatly improved. If you refuel at regular gas stations for a long time, use qualified oil and run at high speed from time to time, the carbon accumulation in the throttle is less than before, even if you inject turbocharged + direct injection engines such as EA 2111.4T.
However, the fuel quality in mainland China is still quite different from that in Europe, and VW still lists me as a poor fuel area, which is certainly better than that in Russia and the like. Therefore, carbon accumulation in the throttle will still bring some problems, such as serious throttle blockage, poor air intake (although ECU can be corrected), idle jitter or even flameout. It is recommended that 30,000-40,000 kilometers should be checked and cleaned if the carbon accumulation is serious.
The cleaning method is simple: reverse the throttle plate by hand to the fully open position and hold it with a clip, use a cleaning agent to clean the carbon deposit on the valve plate and cavity, especially at the edge of the valve plate.
In addition, cleaner selection should pay attention to avoid the use of chemical cleaning agent, because the liquid may flow into the motor along the rotating shaft, there is a certain probability of damage to the motor and control circuit. I choose Japanese three-key special cleaner, foam type, with lubricant, no damage to electrical appliances.

The installation is simple and can be done in reverse order. Then use the decoder to reset the initial position of the lower throttle, you should also use manual methods.
By the way, check to see if there is oil at the front of the intake pipe, such as online rumors. Although Volkswagen has improved the PCV (crankcase ventilation control system), especially the oil and gas separator, the high temperature and high pressure of turbocharging + direct injection will still produce more oil and gas than the naturally aspirated engine, even if the German precision design system, still can not be completely solved. However, because of the extremely long intake pipe, the oil will not flow down the pipe to the throttle, empty filter box position to cause pollution.
However, the oil accumulation in the intake pipe needs to be checked regularly, because the turbocharger is also oil-cooled (water-cooled + oil-cooled). It is said that when the seal is damaged, excess oil will enter the intake pipe and cause some problems.

By the way, I took a look at the carbon accumulation in the combustion chamber with an endoscope. It looks fine, all in the normal range, a little more in one cylinder, less in the rest, and the QR code on the piston can be seen clearly.

The carbon deposition in the combustion chamber of VW EA211 1.4T engine is not serious, but the carbon deposition in the intake valve is still serious, which is also a common problem for all direct injection engines, as is the case for Japanese cars. Therefore, Volkswagen and Toyota began to use dual injection fuel supply system, but the cost has increased a lot, which has a negative impact on engine reliability and maintenance costs.
In-cylinder direct injection valve carbon cleaning is very troublesome, only demolition and repair can be solved very well, the cost is not cheap. Efficiency, environmental protection, reliability and low maintenance cost can not be achieved at the same time.
Jialu T engine fuel additives can not be stopped.
