After 12 years of wind and rain on my Mercedes-Benz E, one day I suddenly discovered that the paddle used to move the air outlet could not control the left and right direction. I judged it to be the clip inside. The paddle broke. Then I checked the air outlet on the right. Similarly, it also broke. It was the silver pressing piece on the outside that broke first. It was originally pressing the shaft of the paddle. When the silver pressing piece broke, it became loose and the paddle fell off. I found the one on the right from the air outlet, and the one on the left was no longer known where it flew.

I tried it, and the blades could move and I guess they could be removed. A complete set of accessories with individual picks could also be purchased. I started removing it from the left first, because there was a fixed iron piece on the side, so I thought I had to remove the lower blade before I could remove it. Later, I found that only the third blade was needed to be removed. The iron piece could be removed with a tweezer. First, when installing it, the blade was also installed first, and then installed with a pointed tweezer. The blade was very hard. While lifting it from the middle, the shaft on the side was bent. If you need to be patient, the shafts on both sides of the card would break.

I ignored a problem. Nowadays, the picks in Auto Parts City are all cars from 13 years later, which are longer. As a result, they couldn’t move left and right after they were installed, so I had to rework and remove them again. Fortunately, the right side hadn’t moved yet. I could compare the lengths and then cut them short. Reassemble.
