Enter 2024, this 2005 production 2007 brand, after two car owners plus a car dealer, since February 2014 to my hands (at that time it shows more than 140000 kilometers, in the previous owner bought when the meter has been adjusted, the real mileage is unknown), so far ran 330000 kilometers of the 2006 old car SAAB9-3, there are some faults.
Not many people have opened in recent years, unlike when they were busy before the epidemic, they had to run more than 20,000 kilometers a year, but now they run less than 10,000 kilometers a year.
The existing failures and problems before entering the field for maintenance are:
1. The idle speed of the engine is unstable and jittery (the broken air leakage of the intake pipe has been repaired, and the air leakage near the fuel injection nozzle has been repaired)
2. The half shaft seal sleeve is broken and the oil is thrown.
3. Oil leakage in the oil seal of the front and rear crankshaft (need to lift the engine and release the gearbox)
4. the timing data is abnormal and a negative number is detected. It is suspected that the chain is loose.
5. Cold start is difficult. You have to hit the fire three times to start.
There are so many problems, and there are still a lot of oil stains under the engine. As soon as the engine is turned on, it will have to be fixed sooner or later. Let’s just do it together.
Unexpectedly, the maintenance that I thought could be done in a few days was finally lengthened to more than a week.
The two biggest troubles encountered during this period, one is Buick Regal’s universal timing suit, which is not fully universal. Does not match with the original balance shaft chain gear kit, the chain tilt after grinding guideway noise, and finally on the machine cutting gear three millimeters before installation.
The other is the difficulty of cold start, which has been posted separately, took a detour, changed the fuel pressure regulator, the pump core, the gasoline filter element, and the nozzle seal ring, and finally found that the reason lies in the starter cable.

A broken crack in the balance shaft sprocket was found in the process of disassembly.

Replacement timing requires a special valve shaft retainer tool, divided into different power versions, for AERO, large T, small t three versions.
If someone rents out a treasure or a fish on this tool, you can consider renting one to replace the timing.

The valve room is still very clean and has been served with JinMobil fully synthetic 0W-40 for a long time.

At the same time, it was found that ternary catalysis, which was replaced after ternary blocking in that year, had debris.

Some of the fine crumbs in Sanyuan were poured out. Just many years ago, a quasi-new car demolition of the original factory was set up for three yuan, and this time it happened to be replaced.

The original small t turbine is the real one.

The turbine is in good condition. I can’t believe this is the state after running more than 330000 kilometers. It is really durable and can be persisted.

The half shaft of throwing oil is cleaned and lubricated this time, and the dustproof sleeve is replaced.

The old 93 half shaft, which is much more durable than the 08 model, is said to be made by different suppliers.

There are also some signs of oil leakage on the direction plane, but it is slight and will not be dealt with for the time being.

The balance shaft sprocket is not quite matched with Buick, with shock absorbers on the original factory, and the thickness is not quite the same.

You can see that there is a shock absorber in the middle of the balance shaft sprocket. Buick and the original sprocket behind do not have this shock absorber.
