Stealing a break from your busy schedule and replacing the outer cage
A few days ago, it was discovered that the dust cover of the outer cage was cracked with slight abnormal noises, and the lubricating oil was also thrown out. The cages arrived this morning and started to be replaced after lunch.

After removing the 10mm screws for fixing the abs pipeline, the brake disc is separated from the set of horns and the outer cage and fixed with a hook.
Loosen the dust cover clamp and retract the dust cover a little towards the inner cage to expose the entire outer cage. Lift the half shaft with your left hand and smash the edge of the outer cage with your right hand twice to separate the outer cage from the half shaft.
Greasy outer cage
Pull the cracked dust sleeve off the half shaft, clean it up, and replace the half shaft head with a new circlip
Add grease to the new cage
When one piece of grease is squeezed out, it basically fills the entire cage cavity
Install a new dust boot
Lift the outer cage of the half shaft and put it on the spline with a hammer. The circlip will bounce open, and then fix the dust sleeve.
Then install it back in reverse order.
