The main reason is that I replaced 6 spark plugs, and when I removed them, I could wash the carbon deposits in the cylinder, so I did this project. It needs to be noted that this cleaning agent is not added to the gasoline tank. It is foamed by the machine and hit in the cylinder, and then it is sucked out after a period of time, and then washed clean with an air gun, so this needs everyone’s attention.

Brake fluid is general-purpose by Lexus, about 3 vials will be enough.

There are roughly these, and the oil and gearbox oil have not been changed.
The gasoline filter element still needs to be replaced. Prado’s design is still relatively humanized. It is in the cabin. The external filter element is relatively convenient to replace, and it is not difficult. The reason for replacing this is that the domestic oil products are not good. In one, this filter element is very small, and it is good for the car to use about 20,000 yuan. Generally speaking, in addition to having a good look at the oil road, there are all kinds of filter screens.


I changed the spark plug for 80, 000 kilometers. I personally suggest that everyone run and change it again. RAV4, the eldest brother next to him, has already run 140000 before he begins to change the spark plug. So remind everyone not to wade frequently, because there are air vents at the top, it is easy to enter the water when the wading is too deep, which leads to the mixing of oil and water and the decline of quality.

2. Where can I save money?

Where can I save it? In fact, as long as the money is in place, there is nothing wrong with changing it. From the economic cost point of view, to maximize the service life, thus saving costs, there are still some places to save money.
1, all kinds of cleaning, these projects can actually be done outside, and the price is much cheaper than inside the store, these contents can be done outside a suitable and reliable storefront.
2. [noteworthy] three-way catalytic cleaning, Prado model disassembly three-yuan is more painstaking, if there is no lack of money can be dismantled to clean, that is the cleanest, the cost is about 80-1500. If you don’t want to take it down, hit the bottle and clean it. It should be noted that excessive detergent, oxalic acid and other substances are easy to damage the sensor inside, you should pay attention to this, and if you do not disassemble for a long time, the sensor is easy to rust.

3. Is it necessary to replace the gearbox filter for 80,000 km maintenance?

Many riders will ignore the replacement of the gearbox filter during major maintenance. This thing, in fact, a lot of major maintenance will tell you that you do not need to be replaced, such as maintenance-free, my personal view still needs to be replaced, of course, this replacement requires a price of money, the filter screen is 460 yuan, the gasket is about 100. The reason for the change is that whenever it is a filter screen, its function is to filter impurities. If these impurities are not replaced for a long time, the gearbox will be damaged, and the iron filings in one will never be replaced. So I decided to replace the gearbox strainer at 80,000 kilometers at this point. This really found a lot of dirty impurities in the actual replacement process, it should be noted that my maintenance oil and water are all replaced in the SSSS store, so there is no problem of bad oil products. In a situation where I usually cherish the car and do not have a big throttle to pull the rickshaw, the road condition of commuting to and from work is also very good, so my own filter can be removed. But if the situation of cross-country or long-term traffic jams is better than mine, the filter may be dirtier.

This is a new gearbox filter. You can see that there is a thin layer of iron mesh inside, which plays a filtering role. There is a filter of cotton material on the market, and this needs to be paid attention to. For example, Audi cars and Volkswagen cars all have cotton strains. the filtering effect will be better, but at the same time, the cotton material is also easy to cause valve body blockage, which needs to be watched when you choose and buy. This is the gearbox oil replaced by my gearbox. We found that we don’t have to change it. The color is very good. This may be the reason for my replacement of 50,000 kilometers.

The function of four iron absorbers is to absorb impurities and prevent iron filings from overflowing. This design is still very scientific. Is that where the guidance is? If you draw it casually with your hand, you can see that there is a layer of impurity on it. This impurity is precipitated in the bottom shell all the year round.

All right, just in time you see the protruding pipe in the oil pan of the gearbox. Its design has a protruding table. When the oil volume is too full, the excess oil can be released by gravity. At the same time, the amount of oil in the gearbox of the whole car is consistent. This design is really smart. I didn’t know how to measure the gearbox oil before, but I learned it this time, so do you have such a professional and standard maintenance master when you are outside? 4. What are the details of domestic Prado 4000 that you don’t know?

The first little secret is that there are iron filings in the oil pan of the gearbox, which needs to be removed manually before it can be removed, so it is recommended that you replace the gearbox filter during major maintenance.
