11 The EA837 engine starts at 105,000 kilometers with a loud noise. It was also accompanied by shaking. The customer wanted to drive for a while to sell the car. This time, he came to install an air filter card and prepare to go out for a long journey. However, the engine had a serious abnormal sound and was worried that the customer would break down on the road, and the weather would be cold. So he stopped the customer not to drive the problematic car out. In the end, after repeated communication, the customer decided to reduce losses and repair it. He took apart the engine to check that the engine camshaft chain tensioner guide plate was no longer available. The tensioner aluminum frame has been ground into a deep groove. See the photo next
Remove the valve cover and maintain the engine well

The camshaft chain guide plate is gone, so the tensioner aluminum frame is ground into a few millimeters of grooves
A small piece of damaged guide body
The customer wanted to make a simple repair, so he worked on the car to remove the left camshaft chain tensioner. After removing it, the body fell underneath, and one of them fell onto the timing wheel and was stuck on the wheel. Suddenly, when he saw that other guide plates were also damaged, he communicated with the customer, removed the engine, took out the body, replaced the other broken guide plates together, and disassembled the engine. Remove the engine and remove the left camshaft chain tensioner on the vehicle
When the engine was disassembled, the camshaft chain tensioner guide plate was rolled by the timing wheel and turned into this shape.
Remove all guides and tensioners
The original engine vehicle is not equipped with a one-way check valve
Damaged tensioner and guide plates of the engine, plus oil passage screw plugs without check valves
Timing chain guide is damaged
A small piece of meat fell off the timing chain tensioner
The chain guide is a little worn
New original timing chain tensioner and guide plate
The left chain was worn, and the original chain tensioner and chain were replaced
The right chain tensioner was replaced together
Install two one-way check valves
